Qualifications
- Honours degree in Economics/Business, Accounting, Engineering or related field

- 8 – 12 years’ experience, of which 5 must have been at an Executive level in a Listed entity
- Experience in originating, negotiating, structuring, and monitoring investments
- Significant experience performing complex financial analysis, modelling, and valuations

Business and Financial Results Management

- Conduct weekly Management Committee (MANCO) meetings to convey key information as obtained from Executive Committee and discuss/address pre-defined strategic and tactical issues as per set agenda in order to ensure that operations remain in line with the divisional strategy
- Chair the monthly Town Hall for the entire Capital Market division to discuss financial performance against budget, achievements versus strategy objectives as well as important business highlights to ensure strategic alignment across all personnel to the divisional strategy
- Facilitate bi-weekly Market Shout-Outs for the entire Capital Markets division to review market trends and anticipate trading and listing activities in order to contribute to on-the-job-training and to embed a markets culture in the Capital Markets division which will contribute to overall insight into market activities
- Represent the JSE though presentations to various constituents, participating panels and the media on a wide range of topics relating to the JSE in order to raise brand awareness of the JSE, further the understanding of the business proposition and importance of the JSE to the economy as well as to market the JSE for new business

Process Management
- Craft and execute the Capital Markets divisional business plan in collaboration with senior managers and delegate responsibilities accordingly for annual strategy implementation
- Develop and allocate divisional budgets to enable division to deliver against targets
- Accept responsibility for the commercial strategy behind all of the JSE markets, including the billing model as well as the philosophy behind the pricing of all the JSE market activity
- Craft daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning of own activities, business engagements and deliverables as well as own performance management process in line with the divisional objectives as outlined in the JSE and Capital Markets’ divisional strategy and the Key Performance Indicators in order to ensure that own and divisional deliverables are met
- Ensure that divisional capability improves year after year by ensuring that strategic outcomes and Key Performance Indicators are clearly defined and that accountability for these measures is determined, delegated, reviewed and met accordingly
- Ensure service excellence and productivity improvements by continual review of internal processes and quality, including business processes and resource allocation in order to determine consolidation and streamlining opportunities
- Participate and provide perspective on topics that are outside of direct area of management and make decisions on own area of responsibility with regards to resource allocation, pricing and commercial decisions that optimise the interest of the JSE and not the interest of Capital Markets
- Ensure that quality and timeous decisions are made, problems are solved and that corrective actions are taken to divisional results by means of a transparent and formalised Performance Process Management process to ensure that all executive processes, procedures, activities and deliverables are in the best interest of the JSE
