Operations Manager – Aeroton Bakery
Responsibilities
To manage and control overall demand requirements within the manufacturing environment in such a way that it drives cost, quality, and efficiency. To oversee and drive all MAKE related compliance initiatives and KPA’s.
The jobholder makes decisions that influence overall production performance and productivity and balances several variables to the required service level of sales.
- Ensure daily and weekly on time delivery to dispatch and adherence to CFR/short load targets to ensure optimal customer service delivery
- Manage CAPEX planning and execution for the bakery, including timely submission of Charters and CAR’s.
- The management of quality product through continual monitoring of the line performance through the optimization of quality vs. cost relationship. Ensure achievement of bread quality benchmarks.
- Effective utilisation of labour hours including optimal line manning, TES usage and overtime control and management.
- Ensure that development and training needs of FLEs and direct reports are fulfilled and there is a strong succession and retention plan of key skills.
- Ensure that discipline is maintained through the effective use of the disciplinary code and adherence to the PepsiCo Code of Conduct. Ensure PDRs are in place and tracked for all HODs and functional leads within the MAKE function.
