ANEW Hotel OR Tambo is looking for an Assistant Financial Manager .

Key Duties & Responsibilites

Support the Finance Manager in preparing accurate forecasts and budgets for the hotel and other relevant areas
Prepare precise financial reports and identify any variances or discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting is completed accurately and within deadlines
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations by maintaining robust internal control systems
Oversee departmental accounting processes to ensure accurate allocation to accounts
Train and mentor members of the local finance team, supporting professional development and succession planning
Promote financial awareness across hotel management teams
Adhere to fire, health, and safety regulations, following proper procedures at all times
Perform additional duties or special projects as directed by the Finance Manager or General Manager
Supervise financial operations and team members to ensure timely completion of all tasks and reports.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience in a high-volume finance or accounts environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Sage and Opera systems is a strong advantage
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal departments and external stakeholders
