Job Description

X4 VACANCIES EXISTS IN THE TOOLROOM DEPARTMENT IN BERLIN FOR TOOLMAKERS

Must be prepared to work shifts.

Primary purpose of the job:

Reporting to the Toolroom Team Leader. This position requires the services of an individual to manufacture, repair, maintain and modify tools, jigs and dies to ensure that customer and quality standards are met.

Key Performance Areas:

Experience Toolmaker in large skin panels and structural parts

Problem solving skill on Press line for tool dominated issues.

Hands on work experience to handle the skin panels corrective & preventive maintenance.

TIG Welding and cutting clearance optimization experience.

Hands on experience in Draw Tool stabilization & formability proving.

Must have work experience in heavy duty press shop with Automated tandem lines (600T to 2000T)

Knowledge and Skills required:

Communication

Read tool parts and drawings

Problem solving

Consistent inspection

Minimum Requirements:    

Grade 12 and NQF Level 5 qualification

Qualified Tool and Die Maker

Minimum 4 years’ experience as Toolmaker within automotive environment

Minimum 4 years tool, jig and die repair experience

 MA Automotive Tool & Die (Pty) Ltd mainly manufactures for customers from the

 Automotive industry. The vehicles produced here are mainly sold in South Africa, the

 States and in the right steering driving markets in Asia. The quality of the product and       performance speaks for itself. More than 30% of the manufacturing volume is exported.

Job Description

Primary purpose of the job:

Effectively, develop, implement and maintain quality systems to ensure capable processes that parts produce according to customer requirements.

 Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage performance of subordinates.
  • Maintain quality systems according to ISO & OEM system requirements.
  • Ensure that all customer requirements for the plant are met
  • Continuous improvement of product quality and systems by analysing performance and implement corrective action when required
  • Assist the Quality Manager to establish and maintain Quality Department budget.
  • Manage Plant Customer Requests / Complaints

GROUP LEADER PRODUCTION

Job Description

Primary purpose of the job

To coordinate and manage production activities through Team Leaders to ensure optimal output in line with company safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people requirements.

Key Performance Areas

  • Drive and enforce safety compliance, ensuring adherence to all safety standards, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Coordinate line functions through Team Leaders to ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
  • Monitor and manage production performance, identifying and resolving constraints impacting output.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met and drive reduction of scrap, rework, and defects.
  • Ensure adequate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) are available and optimally utilised.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and subordinates, ensuring performance management in line with company procedures and legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and OEE Ensure effective communication and coordination with support functions (Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Logistics)
  • Monitor and control costs, including overtime, waste, and resource utilisation.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, shift handovers, and escalation of risks and issues.
