Role Details
Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Manager Group and Technical Reporting to be based at the corporate office in Sandton. This role will oversee financial reporting at group level for a dual-listed, multinational mining company, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and consistent application of group accounting policies across global operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing consolidated financial reports and filings and providing technical accounting guidance to support accurate, transparent and timely reporting. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and the ability to work across diverse jurisdictions in a dynamic corporate environment.
About the role:
- Prepare the Group Annual Financial Reports for dual-listings, including XBRL filings
- Manage consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting for key stakeholders
- Analyse group consolidated financial results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including preparation and review of consolidation entries
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and consistent application of group accounting policies across global operations. Manage adoption of new IFRS standards
- Ensure compliance with JSE listing requirements, SEC filing requirements and regulatory disclosures
- Provide technical accounting support to subsidiary financial managers, including review of statutory financial statements and resolution of technical queries
- Prepare IFRS technical accounting papers for Audit Committee submissions
- Review Annual Financial Reports for subsidiary companies, including iXBRL filings
- Manage monthly reporting for corporate entities
About you:
- CA(SA) qualification or equivalent, with strong technical accounting expertise
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience in consolidated reporting at corporate level
- Completed articles with the audit firms is a distinct advantage
- Advanced understanding of mining operations across the value stream
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments and
- Strong understanding of group reporting requirements and IFRS compliance

The Senior Specialist Resource Geologist will be responsible for overseeing mineral resource estimation, modelling, and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 17025 and SOX. This role involves people management practices, driving quality assurance and control processes, optimising Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves, and managing risks to meet business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc Honours in Geology or related postgraduate qualification in the Mineral Resource Management discipline
- Registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP)
- At least 5 years’ geological modelling and mineral resource estimation experience in Geology / Mineral Resource Management
- Extensive knowledge in database management and grade estimation techniques and be proficient in the use of geological modelling and geostatistical software such as Leapfrog, Datamine and Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Electrician’s duties encompasses maintaining, repairs and projects on electrical systems, plant and equipment within the Metallurgical Plant. - Medium Voltage Certificate
- 2 to 5 years’ experience as a MV Electrician in a Metallurgical Plant environment

The Winding Engine Driver (WED) is accountable for operating the South Deep winder systems to ensure the safe transportation of people, materials and ore between underground and surface stations. The WED is further responsible for performing prescribed and ad hoc system testing protocols including proactive and reactive fault identification and timely reporting to ensure safe and optimal winder system performance and to minimise downtime. The WED is required to maintain detailed logs of applicable operational and maintenance activities and to collaborate with maintenance and operational teams to coordinate scheduled winder and conveyance tasks and activities

- Winding Engine Driver’s Certificate of competence
- Onsetter Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Winding Engine Driver and established track record of performing the full scope of WED accountabilities

- Contribute to a culture of zero harm by participating in all safety campaigns, adhering to all requirements as prescribed in relation to legislation, health, safety, environmental, security policies, and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion
- Perform prescribed winder and related installation inspections and testing in accordance with applicable Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, the Minerals Act and applicable Company standards
- Participate in daily shift handover and team task planning activities ensuring that all planned and ad hoc shaft, infrastructure and related winder and installation inspections, maintenance and repairs are clearly understood to ensure seamless safe work execution.
- Execute daily routine WED tasks according to legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures within prescribed guidelines
- Ensure the continued safe shaft transportation of people, materials, and ore to support the operation in achieving its objectives and goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures to maintain high standards of winder installation operations
- Ensure that all required shift activity reports, defect log systems and incident reporting processes are duly, accurately and timeously completed as prescribed in regulation and/or operational standards

The Salvage Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient management of salvage yard operations, including the maintenance and operation of the salvage yard, supervision of material car inspections and repairs, and oversight of change houses. The role ensures that all salvage activities are executed in accordance with prescribed safety, risk management, and operational standards, while minimising production delays and promoting continuous operational efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Recognized Trade Test Certificate in Fitting and/or Boilermaking
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Artisan of which 2 years are supervisory
- Proficiency in managing Salvage operations and maintenance
- Computer literate specifically in MS Office Suite
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

- Maintenance planning and execution for the safe operation of waste removal vehicles and waste transportation material cars
- Plan, coordinate and oversee the safe and effective maintenance and management of change houses
- Strict adherence to environmental requirements and regulations in various types of waste, hydrocarbons and scrap management
- Lead and participate in failure investigations on installations, equipment, components, etc. to implement and/or recommend changes in maintenance and operating practices
- Engage with associated Business partner to build a strong and reliable relationship to guarantee efficient operational and maintenance of the Salvage yard
- Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy, budget compliance and availability of spares
