Key Purpose
The Finance Analyst: Logistics provides strategic financial analysis and governance to enhance logistics cost efficiency, compliance, and overall business performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Ensure Accurate and Timely Cost Reporting
Deliver weekly and monthly consolidated cost review reports, ensuring risks of overspend are flagged and addressed proactively.
Implement and Monitor RACM Framework Compliance
Lead quarterly self-assessments, track line manager compliance, and implement corrective action plans based on audit findings.
Coordinate Annual Budgeting and Forecasting Cycles
Manage full budget lifecycle, consolidate submissions, and ensure alignment with strategic goals and business targets.
Deliver Strategic Margin and Performance Insights
Provide in-depth margin, pricing, and ROI analyses to highlight opportunities for cost savings and top-line growth.
Lead Governance Training and Policy Implementation
Drive financial governance acumen across functions through training, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Internal and External Audit Requirements
Serve as primary liaison for auditors, ensuring timely provision of evidence and supporting documentation to validate controls and reporting.
Oversee Financial Planner and Team Outputs
Supervise and develop direct reports, ensuring alignment with corporate finance goals and accurate execution of responsibilities.
Drive Stock and Asset Control Accuracy
Manage quarterly stock counts, impairment reviews, and asset verifications to ensure correct reporting and financial accuracy.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
BCom (Hons) in Financial Management or equivalent (required)
CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (advantageous)
Experience
3–6 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within the FMCG industry
Proven experience in:
Cost and margin analysis
Budgeting and forecasting
Governance and audit compliance
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems (MSD preferred)
Experience in margin improvement or pricing strategies (advantageous)
Skills
Expert ability to consolidate, interpret, and present complex financial data, especially for cost, margin, and income statement analysis.
Must be proficient with writing Power BI reports. Understand and capable of database management. Focus on analytics and data interrogation for management and strategy decisions
Strong hands-on experience with Finance and advanced Excel (e.g., dashboards, pivot tables, financial modeling).
Governance, Risk, and Compliance Knowledge (RACM/SOX)
Ability to lead, supervise, and coach financial planning staff, fostering performance and professional development.
Strategic Business Partnering and Communication
Confidently engage with senior leaders, influence decision-making, and present financial insights clearly.
Budgeting and Forecasting Expertise
Strong critical thinking for scenario planning, cost-efficiency evaluations, and risk mitigation.
Ability to design and implement templates, reporting tools, and workflow improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

The Finance Business Partner: Sparkling & New Product Development plays a pivotal role in accelerating profitable growth across Sparkling and New Product Development through strategic financial partnering, rigorous cost discipline, and actionable insight.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Drive Regional Cost Optimization: Partner with Regional Leadership to conduct bi-monthly cost reviews, identify overspend risks, and implement corrective action plans—achieving a minimum 3% reduction in controllable costs year-on-year.
Deliver Accurate and Timely Financial Forecasts: Produce and present twice-monthly cost forecasts, ensuring variances to budget are within a 2% band, enabling senior leaders to make informed, proactive decisions.
Elevate Financial Governance and Control Adherence: Lead quarterly RACM self-assessments and corrective action tracking; close 95% of identified control gaps within target timelines to maintain a robust control environment.
Provide Actionable Variance Analysis & Margin Insights: Compile monthly Income Statement variance reports and margin analyses for total CCBSA and individual channels—highlighting at least three actionable pricing or mix opportunities each quarter that improve overall profitability.
Coordinate and Consolidate Annual Budget Process: Issue budgeting templates, consolidate functional inputs, benchmark against peer regions, and deliver a final regional budget with variance to prior year revenue and cost no greater than 5%.
Strengthen Stakeholder Financial Capability: Develop and roll out targeted financial training modules for line managers; achieve a 90% “competent” rating (via post-training assessments) across regional leadership teams within six months.
Ensure Accurate Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Asset Controls: Oversee quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and surprise stock-counts; resolve 100% of long-outstanding reconciliations and variances by period-end to safeguard asset integrity.
Lead Financial Team Performance & Talent Development: Manage and mentor regional finance staff to ensure 100% on-time delivery of monthly reports; achieve at least one internal promotion or succession placement within the finance team annually.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
BCom (Honours) in Accounting or Financial Management (required)
CA(SA) or CIMA certification (advantageous)
Additional postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, Postgrad Diploma) beneficial
Experience
8–10 years’ progressive financial management experience, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
Proven track record in regional budgeting, cost control, and governance implementation.
Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex models, pivot tables, macros)
Proficiency with ERP/financial systems and budgeting platforms
Strong competence in variance analysis, margin management, and financial reporting

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Accurate BOM and Product Cost Reporting
Deliver timely and insightful BOM analysis vs. plan and prior year with root-cause commentary to enable data-driven decisions.
Master Data Integrity and Governance
Own and ensure the accuracy and completeness of raw material master data, including new and promotional products.
Variance Analysis and Standard Cost Accuracy
Analyse material price variances and ensure correct standard costing through D365 to support accurate profitability analysis.
Budgeting and Annual Price Planning
Prepare BOM-related budgets and perform D365 annual price planning in line with forecasted changes in raw material costs.
Cross-Functional Costing Collaboration
Collaborate with Marketing, Technical, Procurement, and Planning to ensure accurate new product costing and process integrity.
Resin and Aluminium Inventory Oversight
Reconcile and account for CCBSA’s consignment resin and aluminium liabilities monthly to ensure accuracy and governance.
Costing Run Execution and Compliance
Manage costing runs and liaise with service providers for updates due to standard price changes and ensure compliance with month-end procedures.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process enhancements in BOM reporting, product costing, and raw material analysis for efficiency and accuracy.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
Postgraduate Degree in Accounting (e.g., BCom Honours)
CIMA / Equivalent professional qualification (advantageous)
Experience
5+ years relevant finance experience with strong costing background
3+ years in finance management roles
3+ years of analytical experience (preferably in FP&A or cost control)
