THE GATEWAY AIRPORTS AUTHORITY LIMITED (GAAL) a provincially owned business enterprise
responsible for managing Polokwane International Airport, invites applications from suitable qualified
and experienced candidates for appointment of permanent position to the following challenging role.

The following vacancy exists at The Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL) in Polokwane, Limpopo
Province.

Remuneration R 967 547,96 – Total Cost to Company (TCTC) package (inclusive of benefits.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Collection
· Develop and implement revenue procedure. · Ensure that all revenue collected are accounted for the
terms of PFMA and related Regulations. · Ensure that all moneys collected are banked into company`s
bank account daily. · Take corrective action with regards to discrepancies in revenue collections every
Monday. · Monthly revenue recollection reports on or before the 15th of very month.

Bank Account Control
· Ensure that only authorized officials get access to bank account and also cash focus system. ·
Prevent unauthorized access to GAAL bank account information at any time. · Ensure that signatories
are updated upon resignation and new appointed.

Employee Management · Manage employees in the Revenue team. · Provide clear performance
deliverables for all Revenue employees and measured as per the performance cycle. · Communication
and consultation with subordinates by holding weekly and monthly meetings.

Risk and Compliance
· Manage Budget in line with PFMA and other applicable legislation. · Addressing Risks in your
department as per organizational risk register · Responding to Audit findings · Compliance with
departmental related regulations.

DESIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum Requirements

• BCom degree in accounting or relevant qualification majoring in Accounting at NQF level 6. At least a
  minimum of 6 years’ experience in public finance which 4 years are in managerial level. • Chartered
  Accountant will be an added advantage.

Behavioural Competencies

• Knowledge of Pastel Accounting system •Extensive knowledge of the application of the Public
  Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations, 1999 (as amended), Preferential Procurement
  Policy Framework Act, 2000 and related legislative frameworks •A valid driver’s licence • Computer
  (MS Office) literacy •Prepared to work under pressure •A mature person with the ability to maintain
  sound interpersonal relations at a senior level.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

R 967 547,96 – Total Cost to Company (TCTC) package (inclusive of benefits).
