FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FACILITIES (Pretoria)

Description

Purpose of the Job:

To maintain standard of the FSCA’s buildings, equipment and facilities services that also provides a safe environment for the FSCA’s employees.

Key Performance Areas:

•The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining building/s, assets, equipment, and grounds as well as overseeing the provision of services across the organisation relating to cleaning, hygiene, safety and security landscaping through the scheduling and management of contractors.
•Maintains, reviews and records a variety of reports, including daily activity reports, work orders, work requests, monthly statistical reports, and other reports and records as required.
•Reviews vendor/contractor invoices and proposals and recommends payment upon receipt of material/completion of work.
•Supervises and participates in the investigation, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
•Coordinates the organization, staffing, and operation activities for assigned maintenance and operations programs; directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned maintenance and operations services and activities; assigns work activities and projects; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.
•Plans, organises, controls, integrates, and evaluates the activities and operations related to the construction, maintenance and repair of office buildings and the various features such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fleet management, administration and security.
•Provides staff assistance to the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Manager; conducts a variety of studies and investigations; develops and recommends modifications to assigned maintenance and operations programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate.
•May perform all functions of the Facility Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

National Diploma in Facilities Management or Property Management or built environment. SAFMA accreditation. 5+ years good technical experience of facilities maintenance and soft services practices with 3 years of experience being in a supervisory capacity. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative systems. Strong understanding of maintenance processes, building systems, and property care.Knowledge of health and safety regulations (OHSA advantageous).

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (Pretoria)

Purpose of the Job:

The FSCA seeks to appoint a suitability qualified person as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its Finance Division and support the delivery of its regulatory mandate. Reporting directly to the Commissioner, the CFO is accountable for the full finance value chain, including Supply Chain Management (SCM), and plays a critical role in ensuring sound financial governance and reporting, compliance, and the achievement and maintenance of clean audit outcomes.

Key Performance Areas:

•Lead and execute the FSCA’s financial strategy in support of the FSCA’s regulatory mandate.
•Ensure full compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and all applicable legislation.
•Drive and sustain clean audit outcomes, ensuring achievement of unqualified audit opinions with no material findings.
•Oversee all finance functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and expenditure control.
•Provide strategic oversight and leadership of the Finance and SCM function.
•Lead financial risk management and ensure robust internal control frameworks.
•Engage with National Treasury, Auditor-General South Africa, and other oversight bodies.
•Represent the FSCA in financial, regulatory, and governance forums.
•Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and SCM team.

Requirements

Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification; 10–15 years’ experience in financial management, including at least 5 years at Senior Management level; Proven experience in driving clean audit outcomes within the public sector or regulatory environment; Demonstrated experience overseeing Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions; In-depth knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and public sector governance frameworks.

SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER FACILITIES (Pretoria)

To manage and deliver day-to-day corporate security services, including physical and personnel security, related to FSCA deliverables.

Key Performance Areas:

Security Operations & Service Provider Management

•Oversee outsourced physical security services, including guarding, access control, surveillance, and site protection.
•Manage outsourced close protection officers (CPOs), ensuring appropriate deployment, conduct, and operational readiness.
•Act as the primary liaison with security service providers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance delivery.

Contract & SLA Management

•Manage and maintain security-related contracts with third-party service providers.
•Review, monitor, and report on SLAs, KPIs, and contractual deliverables.
•Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions with service providers.
•Support contract renewals, variations, and procurement processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

Stakeholder Engagement

Continuous Improvement

•Identify opportunities to enhance security effectiveness, efficiency, and cost optimisation.

Requirements

A relevant Security Management Diploma, or equivalent qualification and Certifications. Valid PSIRA A-Grade certificate. At least 7 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a corporate security environment with proven experience as a security manager or similar position. In-depth knowledge of protection services will be beneficial.
A clear criminal record is essential and overtime work will be required. Ex-SAPS or SANDF experience in protection services will be beneficial.

The person appointed to this position will report directly to the Manager.

•Receive and analyse complaints and queries received by the Department through various channels including walk-ins
•Ensure that matters received by the Department are resolved in accordance with applicable financial sector laws, regulations, and internal processes, and frameworks;
•Redirect matters that fall outside the scope of the department to relevant FSCA Departments;
•Refer matters that fall outside the scope of the FSCA to relevant external agencies or institutions;
•Engage relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate resolution of matters that require their input;
•Perform research and consider information from various sources to support analysis, recommendations and reporting 
•Identify, analyse and report trends in respect of the queries received by the Department;
•Participate in the outreach programs conducted by the Department;
•Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department as directed by the management team; and
•Participate in ad-hoc departmental or organisational projects and tasks allocated to by the Manager.
