Remuneration: R425, 595 – R489,435 annual Cost-To-Company
Job Grade: Level 7

Job Purpose:
The Kit and Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all football players, coaches, and
teams are fully equipped with the correct kit, apparel, and equipment required for training, competitions, and
events. The role ensures the eective management of stock, warehousing, kit preparation, and logistical
coordination, enabling seamless team operations and supporting high-performance standards. The ideal
candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-focused environment, understands the demands of
sports operations, and can coordinate kit distribution, equipment logistics, and warehouse systems with
eciency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Kit Management (National Teams & Technical Departments)

  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and tracking of kits for all national teams
  • Maintain accurate inventories of playing kit, training kit, leisure wear, sta apparel, and
    equipment.
  • Manage kit allocations for camps, matches and any other SAFA events.
  • Ensure all kit aligns with brand standards, sponsorship requirements, and competition
    regulations.
  • Coordinate kit logistics for home and away xtures, including packing, transport, and
    post-match reconciliation.

Warehouse Operations

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring ecient stock storage, organisation, and
    movement.
  • Implement and enforce warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering
    receiving, packing, storage, and dispatch.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure accurate reconciliation across all categories.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment in line with association
    standards.

Event & Matchday Support

  • Work closely with Kit Managers, Team Managers, and Technical Sta to support matchday
    kit and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery to stadiums, training venues, and hotels for ocial events.
  • Oversee logistics for major tournaments, coaching courses, referee programmes, and
    football development events.

Supplier & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Collaborate with apparel partners, equipment vendors, and service providers.
  • Manage kit and equipment orders, lead times, and deliveries.
  • Ensure smooth communication with technical sta, logistics teams, and national team departments.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise warehouse assistants, kit coordinators and temporary sta.
  • Train sta on equipment handling, kit preparation standards, and safety protocols.
  • Build a culture of attention to detail, professionalism, and eciency

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain databases and tracking systems for kit, equipment, and warehouse movements.
  • Prepare monthly reports on stock levels, usage trends, team requirements, and operational
    risks.
  • Assist in planning annual kit budgets, forecasting needs, and managing stock cycles.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualication such as a Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain
    Management, Sport Management, or Warehouse Management.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in warehouse or operations management,
    and or inventory control, ideally with kit-assembly exposure.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Competency with stock/inventory management software and MS Oce.
  • Experience in a professional sporting environment.
  • Training in health & safety or OHS compliance.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially around matchdays and events.
  • Experience managing sta and coordinating logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of equipment care, garment handling, and warehouse safety standards.
