Purpose Statement

  • To provide comprehensive 2nd Tier technical support to Capitec Bank branches and 1st Tier technical support to campus environments, promptly addressing and resolving technical queries while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation for Capitec Bank and its stakeholders within the agreed service level agreements.
     

Experience

Minimum:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT service and technical support delivery capacity
  • IT Branch support experience (or Branch champion experience for internal candidates)
  • Basic hardware, software and network support experience.

Ideal:

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT service delivery capacity. 
  • Working in a service / client engagement environment.

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Certification in Information Technology – Computer Science or Information Technology – Technical Support

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology – Computer Science or Information Technology – Technical Support

Knowledge

Minimum:

  • Client care and service protocol
  • Basic hardware, software and network support principles
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Ideal:

  • Banking systems
  • Conflict management skills

  • To provide a support service to the Capitec Bank branch environment by ensuring technical queries are responded to and resolved within the contracted service level agreement.

Experience

Minimum:

  • This role is suitable for first entry into employment. 
  • MS Office suite (Basic)

Ideal:

  • Telephonic technical support experience, preferably in a Service Centre environment

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational in Information Technology – Computer Science

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology

Knowledge

Minimum:

Purpose Statement

  • To lead and manage the relationship with outsourced cash vendors, Independent ATM Deployers and Deposit taking device vendors, to improve client experience and decrease costs.
  • To build business cash solutions for Capitec Business clients to deposit and withdraw cash.
  • To represent Capitec at Cash Industry forums, influencing discussions and drawing up formal responses on behalf of the bank to issues raised.

Experience

Minimum

  • 3 years’ experience in a cash management environment.
  • Proven data, systems, and process analysis experience.

Ideal

  • 5+ years in cash management environment. 

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • A relevant degree in Finance or Business Management

Knowledge

Minimum

  • Detailed knowledge of cash devices.
  • General management and business knowledge of retail, manufacturing, or banking industry.
  • Cash Device support and monitoring technical functions and processes.
  • Supplier management.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Data analysis and reporting practices, methods.
  • Detailed knowledge of Cash in Transit (CIT) processes.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.

  • Capitec Bank services, products, policies, and procedures.
