INTRODUCTION:

Komatsu has an opportunity for a qualified Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic to join our team at Witbank. The successful must have 3 years’ experience in the heavy earthmoving/mining equipment industry and a Trade Certificate as Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic.

QUALIFICATION:

• N2/ Grade 12.
• Trade Certificate as Heavy Earth Moving Mechanic.

EXPERIENCE :

• 3 years experience in the earthmoving/mining equipment industry.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word).
• Driver’s License.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Remain up to date with safety procedures.
• Takes SHEQ into account in the planning of work output.
• Conduct Hazardous identification & Risk Assessment.
• Perform HIRA with team members before each task.
• Implement the Komatsu Way 5S’s – Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain.
• Comply with tooling and vehicle inspections as per standard, applicable policy and or regulation.
• Report ALL incidents during the shift to leadership.
• Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly, annual inspections.
• Reports equipment that is not in good working order.
