Location: Head Office, Pretoria (Reference: PPSA 01/11/2023 )
Basic Salary per annum excluding benefits: R424, 104.00 – R496, 467.00

Requirements:
A recognised three-year National Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Computer Science /Information Technology/ Information Systems on programming or systems development • A
certificate in Microsoft Software Development will be advantageous • A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in application software development, Proven experience in designing
and deploying system into a production environment, Good understanding of Active Directory configuration with systems implementation • Knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database
Management Systems) with MS SQL Server experience, understanding of Object-Orientated Programming, Significant experience in either Asp net C#, Desktop Windows Forms ,WPF,
MVC , Net Core • Experience with C# Web Forms, JavaScript, CCS3, UI Design • architectural pattern, MS SQL Stored Procedures, XML, JSON and Knowledge of working with Web API
experience e.g. integration with other sources API is an advantage • Server and back-end development experience • Knowledge of systems development, various development platforms,
Project management, Application support• Knowledge of SAP, SAGE VIP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Case Management System, Microsoft Share-Point, Visual Studio Development tool
and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • A valid driver’s license •

Knowledge, competencies, and skills:
Knowledge in application configuration and deployment functioning system modules, data structures, operating systems and databases • Knowledge of different role players in the software
development • Understand and can interpret business and functional requirements artefacts • Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of
software requirements specifications, models and designs • Working knowledge of programming languages and Integrated development tools to translate software designs into software
applications • Working knowledge of software testing techniques and tools • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the major programming languages, Java, C# Asp.net and
JavaScript Skill,Scripting etc • Ability to train users • Excellent Interpersonal skill • Planning and organising skills • Problem solving skills • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to maintain
relationships with all staff through good listening, proper communication, prompt feedback and follow-ups • Service delivery and customer orientated • Professional and self-motivated •
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality • Ability to learn and implement policies, standards and business decisions • Application Development • Application Maintenance and Support

  • Ability to design Databases. Deploy solutions on production. Understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS).

Key responsibilities and duties:
Build, design and deploy programs and systems • Reviewing current systems. Develop detailed specifications and writing the program codes • Develop, test, and implement new
software programs and mobile application • Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces • Provide comprehensive support
to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues • Business applications security management • Compiling monthly business applications reports •
Management of PPSA software licenses •

Note: All appointments will be done in terms of the Public Protector Act and a 12-month probation period which may be extended to 18 months will be applicable. The successful
candidates will be expected to sign the secrecy declaration form and a performance agreement within 2 months of accepting the position.
