Main Purpose of The Role:

Responsible for compiling estimates / quotations from the DSV Global network into Zimbabwe, Zambia & Malawi – Via Durban, Beira, Walvis Bay & Dar Es Salaam.

Provide FOB estimates within 24 hours

Ex works estimates within 48 hours

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Freight Forwarding.

Minimum of 2 years experience in Pricing / Estimates

Understanding of incoterms critical

Understanding of shipping line processes and requirements

Understanding of port charges and processes

Good communication Skills

Good e-mail etiquette

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised

Job requirements

Negotiate and Procure rates from ocean carriers.

Negotiate and Procure rates from 3PL services providers, such as port agents, transporters as well as origin stations.

Compile estimates / Quotations

Monthly reporting of conversion of estimates to business

Advantages

Africa Cross Border Knowledge is advantageous.

Power Point and Excel Presentations and formulars

Load Configurations.

Knowledge of port processes and requirements, via Durban, Beira, Walvis Bay, and Dar Es Salaam

Qualifications: 

Matric – Essential

Computer packages

Cargo Wise an advantage

MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
