Job Purpose:

To ensure sales strategies are implemented to increase acquisition, establishing client relationships, identifying new markets for business insurance and identifying leads pipelines.

Job Outputs:

  • Present our value proposition, that is tailored to the known interests, needs, issues, and concerns of decision makers and influencers within and external to the organization.
  • Complete the risk analysis and proposal.
  • Conduct client needs analysis and provide a record of advice.
  • Obtain quotes suited to the risks from the applicable insurers.
  • Conclude commercial sales deals with high quality of product & service delivery level up to and including active policy level and premium payment, in line with unit and premium target.
  • Meet financial targets through acquisition and upselling
  • Distribute relevant documentation to clients, potential clients, insurance companies.
  • Ensure efficient customer service and professional communication when liaising with customers and service providers.
  • Engage with existing customers upon renewal of policies to grow the average premium by selling onto existing risks
  • Ensure presence at Employee Wellness engagements and other networking opportunities with the intention to generate leads.
  • Provide product and alternative product recommendations whilst complying with all legal requirements e.g., FAIS, FICA and Product Protection rules.
  • Submission of sales activity reports on a weekly and monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 
  • Regulatory Exams for representative (RE 5) is essential
  • Regulatory Exams for Key Individuals (RE 1) is advantageous
  • FSCA recognized qualification on NQF level 4 is essential

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years face-to-face sales experience in business insurance
