Purpose of Job

To ensure the administrative efficiency and compliance of the security team; whilst providing guidance and direction to administrative staff members who render permit office support.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Ensure compliance to legislation, governance and standards. 
Ensure team understanding and compliance to legislation, company policies, procedures and standards. 
Relevant documentation and legal appointments are managed effectively to ensure sustainable operations. 
Develop and maintain Security policies, procedures and standards and ensure compliance. 
Manage and control issuing of vehicle permits. 
Compliance achievement and best practices implemented for relevant safety standards and codes of practice. 
Effective utilization of resources, cost management and control. 
Provide feedback to management and relevant stakeholders on the Security cost operating model and new projects and initiatives. 
Manage and track the expenditure of the security capital and operational budget to prevent over spending (consumables, uniforms, printing etc.). 
Manage support team and permit offices and ensure a high performance culture. 
Provide leadership and management to own group. 
Maintain and propose improvements in security infrastructure (control room, security fencing, security surveillance technology, etc.) in support of security services. 
Manage security maintenance strategy. 
Balance short term security support services need with day to day operational needs. 
Implement Security strategy and vision for the Sasol Sasolburg. 
Manage performance of Support services and Permit Offices to ensure compliance with agreed KPI’s, Service Level Commitments and Customer expectations. 
Ensure the effective safety performance of security support services team. 
Ensure effective control of gate releases, compliance to SOX requirements and other applicable standards. 
Recognize and implement successful ideas and improvement initiatives by teams. 
Ensure security projects are executed on time and in budget and of high quality. 
Tracking of audit findings to ensure closure and prevent reoccurrence. 
Implement and maintain accurate document control and retrieval system.

Formal Education

High School/ School Diploma or Similar (Must)

National Diploma Security management or Equivalent (Must)
