South African National Parks (SANParks) is a public entity under the jurisdiction of the Department of Forestry Fisheries and the Environment. SANParks manages a system of 21 functional national parks in seven of the nine provinces of South Africa with a total area of just over 4 million hectares.
SANParks seeks to appoint two (2) independent and suitably qualified individuals to serve as external members of the ICT Steering Committee for a period of three (3) years.LocationGROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)Requirements
A minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field.A post-graduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) will be an added advantage.Over 10 years experience in leading and executing IT projects (preferably at senior management or executive level).Experience in the implementation of large, complex and/or innovative transformational initiatives.Extensive experience in IT delivery and operations management and strong knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and processes.Working knowledge of software engineering best practices and frameworks.Strong knowledge of IT service management.IT governance leadership and risk management skills.Knowledge and Experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise architecture and information management methodologies.Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats, cybersecurity, privacy, and the Protection of Personal Information Act.Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.Understanding of public sector ICT regulatory frameworks.
Please NoteThe external members of the ICT Steering Committee will be remunerated in line with the National Treasury rates.
