| Job Purpose | To manage activities and provide leadership in the eThekwini’s strategic design, implementation and management through a range of digital marketing strategies across a wide-reaching audience. |
| Key Responsibility Areas | Provide input into the development and implementation of the digital media strategy for the municipality. • Managing the updating and maintenance of municipal websites and related applications. • Managing the updating and maintenance of municipal intranet by leading the content quality and accuracy review. • Managing and providing leadership to municipal social media by developing social media advocacy campaigns and advocates for various municipal services. • Manage the provision of audio-visual services by leading the creative direction for development of appropriate audio-visual content for varying platforms. • Produce and manage webinar, virtual event sessions by project-managing assigned live and recorded webinars, virtual e vent sessions and podcasts from inception to completion. • Managing and control the provision of digital media services to the municipality. • Controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within digital media department. • Provide input into strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the operating budgets. |

| Preferred Requirements | • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Communications or Public Relations or related field. • 6 Years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a supervisory level. |
