SALARY : Total Monthly Package (CTC) – R40,615.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Five Months Contract
Purpose of the job
To monitor and evaluate coverage of the 2024 National and Provincial elections by
Broadcasting Service Licensees in terms of sections 56, 57, 58 and 59 of the Electronic
Communications Act No. 36 of 2005 and the applicable Regulations.
Key Outputs: The successful candidates will report to the Manager: Broadcasting
Compliance, and their responsibilities will include: ● monitoring compliance with Electronic
Communications Act and Election Coverage regulations which includes political
advertisement and party election broadcast ● Data capturing and identifying issues covered
by the broadcasting Licensees during election period ● Report non-compliance ● Compile
reports on compliance as required.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Post Matric qualification/Tertiary education such as
Media Studies, ●06 months – 1 year working experience ● Knowledge of broadcasting
regulatory environment, understanding of SA political landscape ● Prior knowledge and
experience in elections or broadcasting monitoring and ICT sector will be an added advantage
● Proficiency in at least 2 official South African Languages.
