Job PurposeThe Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent and suitably qualified individual to render financial accounting services and to assist with the in-year and annual reports on recorded financial affairs and financial systems, maintain a programme for the preparation of financial statements and in-year monitoring reports and prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, inputs for the annual report, and inyear monitoring reports. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in finance or related; A minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience in a financial statements and reporting environment.

Key Performance AreasCompilation of un-audited and audited annual financial statementsCompilation of the interim financial statementsReview monthly and quarterly financial reporting complianceResearch, analyse and interpret accounting information as well as changes in respect of the MCS and AMD and to provide guidance and training thereofGeneral supervision of employees (including leave management and training gap analysis).
