Job DescriptionAt RCL FOODS we see and do things differently, we think bigger, work smarter and as a team collectively work towards achieving our ambition, to Grow What Matters!RCL FOODS is seeking to employ an Assistant Account Manager for our Speciality Pet Division. This is an ideal opportunity for a customer-centric individual with the relevant experience.The role will report into the Sales Manager and will be based in Westville.Purpose of the role: As an Assist Account Manager, you are responsible/accountable for reporting directly into the Sale Manager to:Lead Speciality Channel Sales Tracking monthly.Maintain Speciality Channel Pet Master OTM.Lead Bi-annual Ultra Dog rebate payments and Price Increases: Own the commissions payable process.Track and collate agreed incentives from start to end date through regular liaison with stake holders (internally and externally).Co-ordinate and maintain ongoing Ultra Pet administrative systems.National customer negotiations aligned to RCL FOODS objectives:To support the Sales Manager/National Sales Manager in the smooth running of a portfolio of accounts.To proactively manage all administrative tasks in a timely and anticipatory manner to ensure that both internal and external customer needs are fully met.Lead and implement RCL FOODS commercial objectives within dedicated accounts.Drive sales visibility through Syspro/Cube/Flowcentric/CRM/ BI mobility tool data.
Minimum RequirementsBusiness Management Degree or Diploma (degree preferable).3 years relevant experience.Strong MS Office Skills. Advanced Excel and pivot table experience.Experience with Flowcentric.CRM experience/Bi Mobility.Minimum of 2 years of account junior management, customer related and administrative experience.Minimum of 2 years of experience using data and insights platforms.Valid Code EB drivers’ license – with ability to travel.Travel to all customer regions.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccount Management:Conduct regular reviews of business performance and promotion strategies.Attend corporate meetings with the NAM when required.Manage and develop strong day to day relationships with customers/distributors & internal stake holders.Collaborate internally with cross-functional groups to develop and execute sales initiatives.Develop and maintain product knowledge of the Speciality Pet range.Develop and present fact-based sales proposals to customers.Seek out and pursue line/ extensions, new channels and new business.Liaise with Marketing and monitor market trends, competitive activities and new products.Undertake competitive market research on a regular basis.Assist in developing commercial relationship with key national accounts.Understand and communicate financial implications on all product changes.Participate in sales volumes forecasting and demand management.Assist the National Account Manager/ Sales Manager with development of the strategy and account plans.Execute the strategy through implementation of volume plans and customer workshops.Report meeting results and follow up with all cross-functional groups to capitalise on sales opportunities.Pricing management and resolve queries.
