The responsibilities are:

  • Working together with the executive head and school leadership to ensure high standards of teaching and learning practice and processes.
  • Performing teaching duties while being head of academics.
  • Actively assisting the executive head in ensuring good professional practice, standards, and quality of teaching and learning of subject/s in the school.
  • Advising and contributing to curriculum development at school and system level.
  • Coordinating the teaching and learning of the curriculum prescribed by the group.
  • Ensuring timely and adequate provision of textbooks, materials, and equipment required for effective teaching.
  • Ensuring that the maintenance and upkeep of equipment related to learning is regularly carried out.
  • Preparing specifications and budgets for the requirements of the subject-specific teaching tools and equipment, including laboratory equipment.
  • Mentoring other teachers in the subject/level of their specialty.
  • Holding and leading regular departmental meetings and ensuring the keeping of minutes.
  • Encouraging participation in group curriculum projects.

Physical Science Teacher (FET Phase) – School:Curro Edenvale Combined

  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Relevant experience in teaching Physical Science.
  • Experience in teaching at grade 12 level
  • Current SACE registration.
  • IEB experience.
  • A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

  • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
  • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
  • Create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Take responsibility for any and all school equipment and stock of the class.
  • Work closely with the teachers in the grades/phase to ensure the effective running of the grades/phase.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the grades/phase.
  • Assist with sport and other admin duties as and when the need arises.
  • Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Relevant experience in teaching Mathematics.
  • Current SACE registration.
  • CAPS curriculum experience.
  • A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

  • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
  • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
  • Create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Take responsibility for any and all school equipment and stock of the class.
  • Work closely with the teachers in the grades/phase to ensure the effective running of the grades/phase.

  • Work closely with phase teachers to ensure the effective running of the phase.

  • Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school.
  • Assist with sport and other admin duties as an when the need arises.

  • Relevant experience in teaching Businesss Studies.
