Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is a Water Board established in terms of Water Services Act No 108 of
1997 as a bulk water supply and related water services provider, operating several water purification
works and wastewater treatment schemes in the Limpopo Province.

Technology or related, coupled with 10 years’ experience in ICT environment of which 5 years
must be at senior management level. A post-graduate degree in Computer Science/Information
Technology and registration with a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
Extensive experience in ICT management and leadership roles, with a proven track record of
successful ICT strategy development and implementation. Driver’s license is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be
responsible for ♦ Formulating ICT strategy in line with the company-wide strategy and ensure
implementation thereof ♦ Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive business
information security and ICT risk management program ♦ Identify and mitigate ICT risks and
ensuring that a robust cybersecurity measures are in place ♦ Develop and maintain disaster

medical aid, housing subsidy/allowance and pension/provident funds benefits
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences
and/or Health Related Sciences with at least 2 years working experience in wellness
environment. A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite. Registration with relevant professional
body will be advantageous.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: ♦ must be computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS

Minimum Job Requirements: National Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical
Engineering / Water Care / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ experience related
to the water industry, of which 3 years is at Supervisory Level. A valid driver license is a
prerequisite. Registration with Professional Body will serve as an added advantage.
Knowledge required: Sound knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, National
Treasury Regulation and Water Services Act ♦ Sound knowledge of assets care and

for: ♦ Planning, organising and directing the production and supply of potable water and waste
water treatment works to optimise plant efficiencies ♦ Planning organising and directing the
operations and maintenance activities to minimise production loss and maintenance costs ♦
Management of the production and maintenance personnel to ensure effective utilisation of
resources ♦ Development, compilation and implementation of operational, maintenance and
personnel budgets ♦ Identification of operational risks, development of a risk profile for own
area of responsibility and implementation of the approved risk and audit action plans to mitigate
operational risks and audit findings ♦ Advises subordinates of any deviations from standards ♦
Submits operational productivity reports within the area of responsibility ♦ Ensures compliance

CONDITION MONITORING TECHNICIAN (REF NO. HRM/29/24)

Minimum Job Requirements: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Level one thermography certificate and Level one vibration certificate coupled with
4 years relevant experience in mechanical environment of which 2 years’ experience must be
at a supervisory level. A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite. Registration with relevant
professional body will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager, the incumbent
will be responsible for: ♦ Carrying out routine and non-routine machinery condition monitoring
and data collection ♦ Using data collectors and computerized CM systems with direction and
support from the supervisor ♦ Carry out troubleshooting, telescopic inspection, oil collection,
thermal imaging, task observations, vibration analysis, equipment alignment, and pump
performance testing ♦ Carry out routine and non-routine Condition Monitoring activities
effectively and safely ♦ Collect vibration and operational parameters and upload them into the
Machine Analyst database ♦ Review all exception reports in the database on a daily basis ♦
Update overhauls and bearings change events into the history database ♦ Review daily trip
events (or failure events) and coordinate with production teams to carry out necessary actions
♦ Identify and report machines with chronic problems and recommend necessary actions ♦
Carry out commissioning checks of newly installed rotating equipment ♦ Coordinate with
schemes maintenance teams in troubleshooting activities, as necessary ♦ Support
maintenance teams in troubleshooting and implementation of improvement initiatives ♦
Develop a rotating equipment technical database ♦ Coordinate with Maintenance Scheduler
and Planning Technicians in prioritising, scheduling, and alignment of Condition Monitoring jobs
