CAPE AGULHAS MUNICIPALITY

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification,
    preferably a B. Degree relevant to Facilities
    Management / Horticulture; and
  • 8 Years or more relevant experience in facilities
    management and building maintenance of
    which 4 years must be at a supervisory level
  • Computer literacy: MS Office
  • Code B Driver’s License

Experience:

  • Extensive Contractor Management experience
    according to SLA’S
  • Knowledge of and experience in compliance
    with relevant building and codes and legislation
    including SANS, Municipal by-laws and the
    Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Strong project management skills with a
    proven ability to deliver projects on time and
    within budget
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC,
    electrical, plumbing) and relevant safety
    regulations.
  • Experience in contractor management
    procurement, and contractor negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
    skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels,
  • Strong financial acumen and experience
    managing project budgets.
  • Proficiency in project management software
    and tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent)

Functions:

  • Responsible for management and short,
    medium and long term planning of
    maintenance operations, scheduling of work
    and resource planning, maintenance of facility
    records;
  • Compiles and monitors operational and capital
    budgets of respective facilities
  • Contractor and Site Inspections
  • Productivity/Performance and Personnel
    Management
  • Capital Project Management
  • Project initiation, Conceptualization and
    Management

Remuneration: T16
(R 619 151. 64- R 803 683.44) Per annum, plus a motor
scheme allowance and normal fringe benefits
