General Manager (Bakeries Cluster Lead): KZN

Responsibilities

General Manager (Cluster Lead): KZN (Shakaskraal and Ladysmith Bakeries)

• Role is based at the Shakaskraal Bakery, KZN PepsiCo South Africa.

Main Purpose:

• Responsible for E2E P&L and Strategy for Cluster and manage cluster optimization.
• Responsible for the bakery operations; accountable for the financial performance of the applicable cluster of bakeries.
• Manage the operations of the bakery and ensures the appropriate support to the executive.

• Provide a clear sense of direction and focus and embodying The PepsiCo Way values.
• Ability to define, shape, position and build a business to ensure growth and profitability.
• Participate in establishing local long-range plans, strategy, budget, investment, and resource planning.
• Represent PepsiCo in relation with customers and business and non-business communities.
• Proven good judgment and ability to synthesise markets, risks, and opportunities through the lens of value creation.

Key Accountabilities:

• Drive the strategy and planning congruent to regional nuances (Product, channel and GTM).
• Drive cluster performance and growth.
• Define sales and distribution strategy for the cluster.
• Drive customer data analysis and consolidation and customer experience.
• Ensure financial control and oversight.
• Ensure quality control and oversight.
• Ensure integration across bakeries, and other relevant aspects.
• Provide HC, Finance and strategic project delivery services to bakeries in the cluster.
• Supplier Management.
• Drive and execute sales and distribution.
• Manage and execute bakery enabling services.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role?

• Relevant bachelor’s degree, post graduate desirable.
• 10 – 15 years of experience in food manufacturing environment. In various leadership roles.
• Previously held a General Management leadership role. 
• Previous P&L management, and Senior leadership experience .
• Demonstrates credibility and gravitas while remaining accessible and grounded.
• Prior FMCG, Food production, perishable goods experience.
• Desired Leadership values: Ownership, integrity, respect, empowerment, teamwork, customer and consumer centrism.

Area Sales Manager Wholesale – Parow CDC Snacks

Responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

• Achieve top line volume plan.
• Execute all marketing plans within the time frame.
• Conduct store reviews with top 30 customers Bi-monthly.
• Motivate & lead the area team to achieve the highest standard of excellence.
• Monitor Sales & KPI activities & ensure all monthly sales targets are achieved.
• Coach, train & develop Business Development Reps using company training & development programmes.
• Performance manage subordinates in accordance with company standard & policies & in conjunction with HR Manager & RSOM recruit as necessary to maintain a full staff compliment.
• Co-ordinate customer account plans to ensure areas deliver towards the regional plan in the Traditional trade.
• Review & present revenue, volume, expenditure & profitability actual/forecast Vs plan to RSOM on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with external merchandising services to achieve the golden standard merchandising practices.

Accounts Payable Assistant – PepsiCo Park CDC Snacks

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing accounts payable services to vendors and internal stakeholders.  
• Investigates, tracks and reports all invoices and processes them for payment. 
• Check account balances and reconciles to vendor statements. 
• Follow-ups on invoice/payment discrepancies and control vendor master data. 
• Ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices. 
• Report on overdue accounts status. 
• Report on invalid liabilities impacting the P&L (GRIR). 
• Sends follow-up inquiries on short paid invoices to vendors.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing – large volume invoices. 
• Basic Knowledge of Automated invoice processing. 
• Process Director > invoice management. 
• Daily focus on Age Analysis. 
• Statement reconciliations. 
• EFT payments – loading payment batches on SAP. 
• GRIR maintenance. 
• Resolve complex account queries timeously. 
• Relationship building with external & internal suppliers. 

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or 5 years+ accounts payable experience (preferably in a FMCG environment). 
• SAP Knowledge will be an advantage. 
• Strong Accounting Background. 
• Excel experience. 
• High Accuracy and handle big volumes. 
• Attention to detail.
