About the role:
We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on Audit Manager: Finance and Marketing (Audit Manager) who is passionate about Risk Management and the role of Internal Audit, is curious and eager to understand the underlying processes, systems, risks and controls that support the delivery of the Capitec Strategy.
This role will support the Manager Internal Audit: Shared Services in managing the Shared Service’s Internal Audit Function by contributing to strategic planning, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Audit Manager is responsible for operational management, including scheduling audits, resource allocation, and reviewing audit work, as well as performing audit work from time to time, as required. Further responsibilities include managing the audit team assigned to specific audit engagements, ensuring these audits are completed within budget, on time and to required quality standards, and uses innovation to enhance efficiency. This role will also support stakeholder management by building trust, communicating audit findings, and providing consulting services.
The ideal candidate is a CA (SA) with a passion for Internal Audit. If you’re someone who thrives on challenges, enjoys analyzing complexities, problem-solving, and identifying opportunities for improvement, and is committed to delivering exceptional results, this is the perfect opportunity for you to grow and lead within our team.

- Large organisation experience
- SAP experience
- 2 -3 years delivery management experience (including delivery through others)
- Stakeholder management experience
- Strong analytical (including data analytics), verbal, and abstract reasoning capability

- Attention to detail and logical in approach
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

About the role:
As a Model Risk Specialist at Capitec, you will play a key role in managing model risk across the bank by conducting technical reviews and validations of a wide range of models, including machine learning models, financial models, and predictive credit risk models. Your expertise will support improved model governance, ensuring all models align with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and best practices.
In addition to your technical work, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across data science, credit risk, and finance teams, effectively communicating complex modelling concepts and driving solutions. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in end-to-end model development, combined with strong skills in Python, R, SQL, and Excel, as well as familiarity with machine learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years modeling experience within financial institutions
- Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial
- Practical experience in end-to-end model development is a requirement.
- Model review and validation experience.
- Python/R experience and relation/Non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with modern deep learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow)
Ideal:
- The credit lifecycle.
- AWS technologies.
- Banking products experience

About the role:
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Capitec is pivotal in shaping and executing the bank’s AI strategy. By collaborating with Data Scientists and Decision Scientists, you’ll enhance their efficiency through the development, implementation, and support of platform improvements. Your contributions will be crucial in positioning Capitec to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape where AI technologies are key strategic differentiators.
This role leverages your deep understanding of machine learning models, from concept to deployment, and expertise in modern software development best practices, big data processing frameworks, and cloud environments whilst sitting in the risk division of the business. You’ll also be working extensively with Python, SQL, and advanced debugging techniques to ensure the delivery of scalable, robust, and production-ready predictive models
Our ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of experience in any engineering role
- Honors degree or higher in any field
- Python and SQL experience
- PySpark
- Big data frameworks – Hadoop/Kafka
- Github experience or Git
