Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.

  • Experience as an administration assistant/medical reception will be an added advantage
  • The ability to multitask and work well under pressure and professionalism
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures and previous relevant experience will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of ICD 10 codes as well as authorisation process is essential

  • Preparing and capturing of requisitions, payments, and orders on SAP.
  • Facilitate the procurement cycle including submission of invoices for payment.
  • Managing allocated creditors. Reconciling, processing, and liaising with creditors and hospital staff daily regarding queries on creditors.
  • Coding and allocation of payments and receipts in the cashbook.
  • Assisting the Finance and Administration Manager with ad-hoc tasks including reviews of monthly results.
  • Clearing of bank and creditor reconciling items.
  • Resolving creditors and debtors account queries.
  • Managing, following up and resolving of all doctor’s rental invoicing and relevant monthly statements.
  • Maintaining a filing system for creditors.
  • Updating and management of the contracts register.
  • Assisting in reviewing and establishing adequate internal controls within the finance department.

  • Preparing accurate and complete accruals at month end.
  • Assist the Finance and Administration Manager with month end and capital expenditure reporting.

  • Management of petty cash.
  • Constantly striving to improve working methods to improve standardization and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate
  • Diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or equivalent.
  • Additional tertiary qualification in finance will be an added advantage
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant experience and technical skills to meet the critical outputs.
  • SAP knowledge is essential.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel, word) is essential.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently, manage time effectively and be a team player, energetic, quality focused and flexible.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment.
  • Financial process understanding up to trial balance and ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations.
