Project Coordinator
Your mission:
- Execute key strategic projects; from conceptual phase, planning phase and execution phase
- Implement contracting concepts that can be beneficial to Mondi and surrounding industries.
- Engage, Audit and identify key areas of improvement in local engineering companies
- Coordinating and recording activities relating to project planning coordination, monitoring and evaluation of projects
- Management of mill wide major shuts incl safety, Environment, Quality, Planning & execution
- Accurate progress / status reporting of major shuts, KPI’s reports & learning reports
- Analyse data, interpret and record project information
- Updating systems and procedures regarding statutory requirements in project design and sourcing
- Prepare documentation and systems for auditing
- Supply project input into project departmental plans
- Generating information for reports on projects and project status
- Have a role in maintaining compliance certificates
Your profile:
- BSc / B.Tech Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management (PMBOK/ Basic Project Management Principles will be an advantage.
- Member of ECSA or SACPCMP will be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant / equipment maintenance in a heavy industrial or manufacturing industry
- Project management experience
- Supervisory experience / team leadership experience is required
- Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6 or other Project Management software will be advantageous
- Valid South African Drivers license

Automation Mechanician
Your mission:
- To perform specialized Technical duties in the operation on plant and equipment related to; fabricate, maintain, service, overhaul, repair, construct, install, dismantle, fit. This will include manufacturing and repairing instrumentation, analytical and hydraulic components according to drawings and specifications (such as flow meters, transmitters and variables such as pressure, consistency, PH, conductivity and temperature)
- Perform diagnostic duties by executing actions related to; test, inspect, troubleshoot and fault find, check, measure, record, etc. to achieve outcomes such as reducing downtime, minimize breakdowns, improving availability of plant and equipment. Inspections on instrumentation, analytical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Record technical data on completed work for use in planning system
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery in a safe manner according to operating procedures and policy
- Perform and execute preventative maintenance duties
Your profile:
- Matric plus N3
- Qualified trade tested as an Instrument mechanician.
- To be familiar with all equipment supplier criteria and compliance requirements to ensure that warranties on vehicles and equipment is maintained
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as an apprentice instrumentation artisan within a manufacturing environment preferably within the pulp and paper industry
- Proven experience on pulp and paper analytical equipment
- Hydraulic experience advantageous
- Relevant equipment licenses as required by the operations
- Valid SA drivers License

Production Supervisor
Your mission
- Manage the shift team on production KPI’s
- Maintains morale and discipline of the team on shift
- Production: Meet volume and efficiency targets for PM 41 and PM 42 at the required quality
- SHEQ: High focus on water usage, fibre loss, Safety and Health issues, and complies with environmental and safety regulations
- Cost: Manage production, material and people costs
- Troubleshoot operational problems in the plant
- Liaises with Maintenance Foreman in order to carry out maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner
- Carry out plant inspections and ensure defects are rectified
- Assists the PTO with development of his/her team, training and Pass Out of personnel
- Performs relevant administrative duties
- Act effectively as a first Line Manager
- Excellent technical problem solving abilities
- Proven leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
Your profile
- Matric plus N4 (Supervisory Management)
- Relevant Trade Test
- National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline
- BTech would be advantageous
- 7 – 10 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry
- 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment
- 1 – 2 Years Leadership experience would be advantageous
