SENIOR FINANCING ANALYST

NWK is looking for a detail-oriented and independent Senior Financing Analyst to join our dynamic Financing Department. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in processing financial information, assessing credit applications, and ensuring seamless financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit processing & agreements: Assess and process production and monthly account applications, ensuring compliance with financing
    terms.
  • Account management: Monitor and manage all accounts in the assigned portfolio, including arrears and credit limits.
  • Contract drafting: Prepare financing agreements and quotations in line with evaluation terms.
  • Security & sessions: Establish securities, manage session agreements, and oversee accurate recording of transactions.
  • Financial transactions: Handle dividend and grain pay-outs to customers and session holders.
  • Payments & reconciliations: Execute daily electronic transfers, balance electronic and cheque disbursements, and process instalment sale
    agreements and term loans.
  • Tax & interest checks: Verify interest calculations and income tax returns.
  • Customer liaison: Provide professional support by handling customer inquiries and general requests.
  • Ad-hoc duties: Assist with any additional finance-related tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate (Mathematics and Accounting preferred).
  • Three (3) years of experience in a credit environment (Agricultural Financing experience will be advantageous).
  • A B. Com qualification will be a strong recommendation.
  • Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).
  • Computer literacy, with a strong focus on Excel.

PROGRAMMER

Purpose of the position:
The incumbent will be responsible for the development and maintenance of programmes and systems for
NWK under the guidance of a project leader. The development and maintenance of the system and
programmes will be done in a team consisting of other programmers.

Duties of the position:

  • Creating and developing a graphical interface in collaboration with PHP or natural programmers for the NWK
    operating system (no knowledge of system is required);
  • Developing PHP on the Laravel framework;
  • Writing of web-based programmes;
  • Thorough testing of developed systems; as well as
  • Implementation of systems and providing the necessary training to users.

Minimum requirements:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in PHP programming
  • Knowledge and experience in PHP; MySQL; HTML5 / CSS; Laravel; Javascript; jQuery and JSON-RPC
  • A Gr 12 certificate
  • Persons with a relevant degree or diploma will be given preference.

HEAD ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Are you an experienced administrative professional with strong logistics coordination skills and a passion for detail and accuracy?

NWK is seeking a highly organised head administrative officer to oversee the full administrative function within the Fertiliser division.
This role is integral in ensuring smooth delivery processes, accurate record-keeping, as well as effective team coordination.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end administrative process for fertiliser orders, including accurate placement, capturing and tracking of
    orders on relevant systems.
  • Coordinate the delivery of dry fertiliser to branches and clients by liaising with suppliers and transport contractors.
  • Monitor stock movements and ensure timely, accurate invoicing of clients.
  • Maintain and update pricing, transport tariffs, and product rates on the system.
  • Handle and resolve claims relating to shortages and coordinate credits with suppliers.
  • Compile and submit management information and operational reports as required.
  • Oversee the administrative clerks within the division, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain delivery schedules, client queries, filing systems, and internal records with precision.
  • Support pre-season purchase administration, including invoicing, logistics, and dispatch.

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 with at least 4 years’ experience in office administration.
  • Experience in logistics administration will be a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, email systems, and exposure to enterprise or legacy systems (e.g., mainframe-based).
  • Familiarity with fertiliser and agricultural products is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English.

ASSISTANT RETAIL MANAGER

  • Managing and controlling storage facilities, which includes the optimal utilisation
    thereof;
  • Thorough control of administrative functions;
  • Operating a computerised mainframe administrative system; and
  • Execution of instructions and policies regarding the following:
  • Occupational safety
  • Risk management
  • Internal control systems; and
  • Client satisfaction.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Five (5) years’ relevant experience
  • Candidates must have completed courses in the following:
  • Maize, wheat and sunflower grading
  • Silo management
  • Fumigation
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to take initiative and lead a team effectively.
  • Good communication abilities.

CASHIER

Purpose of the position:
The incumbent is mainly responsible for terminal sales at the retail
outlet.

The responsibilities of the position will include the following:

  • The encoding of transactions
  • Receiving of payments
  • Cash up of daily sales
  • Enhancement of client relationships
  • Assistance with stock takings
  • Administrative tasks that are normally required to operate a
    successful retail business

Minimum requirements:

  • The suitable candidate must be in possession of a senior certificate
  • At least one (1) year relevant experience
  • The candidate must be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English

JUNIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

The Risk and Business Intelligence Department plays a strategic role in the development and implementation of processes and data information systems
that ensure proper corporate governance, risk management, and compliance within the NWK Group.

The junior business analyst will be part of the Business Intelligence division within the department and will receive training to perform the functions below.

This position offers training opportunities in the following key responsibilities:

  1. Data conversion/processing and analysis:
  • Process and convert data into meaningful business information for analytical purposes.
  • Analyse data and related information to support strategic business decisions.
  • Use QlikView/Qlik Sense to retrieve data for further analytical purposes.
  1. Decision-making support:
  • Provide data-supported insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and visual dashboards to identify risk trends and business opportunities.
  1. Interdepartmental collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments within NWK to better understand risk profiles and business processes.
  • Gain exposure to risk management, internal control, and compliance frameworks within the organisation.

Minimum requirements:
Qualifications:

  • BSc Honours in Actuarial Science or Risk Analysis

Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, especially advanced MS Excel.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as “R”.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to identify patterns and risks in data.
  • Experience or exposure to data analysis software like QlikView or Qlik Sense will be beneficial

Communication:

  • Excellent Afrikaans and English language proficiency – both written and spoken.
  • Ability to convey complex data concepts and information in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
