• Determine the optimum/ideal department flow, based on the buying strategy , customer profile, catalogue and selling format for the group.
• Provide accurate facing analysis per format, to deliver a minimal credible offer down the chain.
• Maximise space utilisation through equipment usage and densification and product specific planograms to achieve TPM targets.
• Conduct store visits to review store formats, catalogues and layouts and effective launches.
• Translate the group buying strategy into a selling strategy to enable consistent implementation and chain store image to enable ease of customer shopping.
• Effectively integrate across buying and planning teams to enable the execution/interpretation of selling strategies.
• Deliver clear, concise and simple communication to stores, through seasonal trading notes, monthly in store, trade and event briefs.
• Practical execution of seasonal selling strategies through model stores and road shows.
• Regular store visits to evaluate the effectiveness of selling strategy to maintain chain store image and customer shopping experience.
• Deliver group Capex requirements for new initiatives, projects and selling formats.
• Ensure Capex targets are in line with budgets.
• Actively participate in setting team objectives, goals and agreed ways of working.
• Coaching, development and store training in the field through new store openings, road shows, workshops and effective communication
Minimum requirements
• Relevant business degree and diploma
• 5 – 8 years Stores experience and knowledge
• Extensive Retail knowledge.
