Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Operational Planning, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Monitor stakeholder compliance across all PBA processes including AMC representatives.

- Review and re-alignment of practices, systems, structures and frameworks to the business intent and operating model.
- Remain up to date with macro and micro-economic conditions.

- Lead the Operational planning process, the development of a framework and parameters for operational plan(s) to ensure approved objectives are achieved.
- Develop, monitor and report on key airport management performance indicators.
- Overall accountability for the provision of sustainable, customer centric, compliant and efficient airport operations that are aligned to the ACSA operating model, business strategy and mandate.
- Drive performance and continuous business improvement across the network of operations as per set metrics and performance standards.
- Drive the implementation and the maintenance of a Quality Management System across the organization.
- Direct account management strategies, account plans, and measurement of success aligned to the overall Commercial strategy, to contribute to commercial growth across airports.
- Drive centralized Capital Program Planning, Delivery and Governance.
- Develop and institutionalise EPM best practice to provide enterprise-wide visibility of projects, alignment of projects with business strategy, reduce project related business risk and implement projects efficiently.
- Direct the operationalisation and implementation of enterprise asset management and maintenance strategy across the network of airports, inclusive of all Facilities Management Services (soft and hard services) for the Group.
- Interpret business plan and develop operational, capex and labour budgets for the area of responsibility (Function)
- Direct operational, labour and capex requirements within the function for efficient delivery of operational targets and submit recommendations to the Chief Executive/Board.
- Effectively manage the Function and its objectives in line with approved budgets (operational, capex and labour).
- Provide timely and accurate reports in accordance with business, governance and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that organisational workforce planning is conducted to ensure function is suitably staffed to meet strategic functional objectives.
- Implement and manage people development processes such as performance management, succession planning and talent management to meet functional performance standards.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years – 480 credits) (NQF8) is essential.
- Master’s degree (MBA) is advantageous.
- 10 years’ management experience in Airport Management/ Operational/ General Management is essential.
- 5 years’ Senior Management experience in Airport Management/ Operational/ General Management is essential.
- Code B motor vehicle license.
- MS Office intermediate is essential.

Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Regional General Manager Cluster3 will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Facilitate project managers and related resources meeting to consolidate and align on project delivery.
- Manage integration of project plans within multiple project portfolios; impact on business; key dependencies and optimise resources.
- Responsible for overall performance of project portfolio, including implementation to agreed delivery timing, financials and quality.
- Review updates from project managers on current stage and status of projects and provide necessary feedback and reporting on performance.
- Update EXCO, PMO and relevant Business Owners on total portfolio status, highlight / escalate necessary project performance and concerns
- Assess and prioritise programme, financial and delivery risks
- Advise and facilitate on necessary mitigating actions; provide guidance to project managers on project issues and risks.
- Establish, monitor and manage healthy, diverse, workable internal and external relationships,
- including the interface with external providers to ensure departmental/functional needs are met, organisational goals achieved and implement remedial actions where required.
- Provide direction, guidance and support to project managers and ensure open and honest communication at all times
- Implement and manage people development processes such as performance management, succession planning and talent management to meet functional performance standards.

Technical Skills and Experience
The challenges posed by this position require the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelors Degree (4years – 480 credits) NQF Level 8 in Built Environment disciplines is essential.
- 8 years’ Operational experience in Project Management, procurement exposure, including coordination and implementation of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects is essential.
- 2 years operational experience in People and Stakeholder Management is essential.
- Registration with South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) or related built environment council is mandatory.
