R&D Seasoning Lead (Fixed-Term Contract, 9 months) – Isando Plant Snacks

Responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

This leader will be accountable to lead a team across a large geography to design, develop and execute flavour on our Foods portfolio.  They will partner closely with product development leadership to scope, budget, resource allocation and bring the power of the integrated flavour function to the Region.  This role will mirror the structure we have across most markets in PepsiCo Foods Internationally, including strong connection with Global Procurement and our key seasoning Supplier network to bring consumer centric designs in affordable solutions.

  • This individual will be responsible for leading Salty Flv & Seasonings Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
  • Managing and developing strategies to guarantee Innovation deliver Pipeline through Flavour Strategy- trends understanding, full compliance with Local Regulations, data management (formulations and specifications),
  • Pep+ accountability for seasoning roadmaps and strategies with suppliers to deliver superior experiences and assess affordability where possible,
  • Productivity to meet committed targets, and collaboration with the Global Seasonings Team to leverage learnings and contribute to the regional adaptation of the Flavourbank tool.
  • In addition, partner with GP on BCP strategy to prevent disruptions, including the expansion of the localization blending model, as required. 

Additional accountabilities with Global R&D Function and Europe Seasoning Leader:

  • Expansion of flavor and seasoning expertise within a fast-paced Region, including the flavor strategy best practices and advanced tools (insights, flavor trends and AI tools)
  • Accelerate the implementation of SPBT functionality testing and partnering with Supply Chain to meet true efficiency targets, including the implementation of analytical equipment and modeling
  • Evolve partnership with Region PD teams to establish processes and stakeholder management on innovation and renovation agenda, including accountability of road mapping and adherence to pep+ goals leveraging our Flavor Excellence team.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role:

  • Over 8 years’ experience within FMCG company R&D Product Development experience a plus.
  • Experience of scoping, shaping and execution of business processes
  • Previous experience in navigating complexity/competing priorities and integrative E2E thinking
  • Experience in project Leadership and Management,  strategic and critical thinking
  • Ability to network effectively and strength in influencing and delivering critical executive messaging to senior associates is key
  • Familiarity synthesizing high level of information and delivering it into concise strategic plans is a benefit to this role
  • Leadership experience of direct reports, matrix management of associates and/or peers a benefit.
  • Proven experience working with stakeholders at all levels with the ability to influence without conflict or direct authority

EHS Coordinator – Malmesbury Pasta

Responsibilities

EHS Coordinator, Malmesbury Pasta

The purpose of this role is to drive the Environmental Health & Safety Performance in terms of culture, EHS standards and compliance across all functions within the assigned site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updated and implemented SHE procedures.
  • Facilitated safety committee meetings.
  • Investigated and reported SHE incidents.
  • Conducted internal & assisted external SHE audits.
  • Trained employees on SHE systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Managed compliance requirements with local authorities.
  • Implementation of systems and procedures.
  • Updating of systems to ensure Pepsico compliance.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role?

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as an EHS coordinator
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, NEMA, and all other applicable regulations interns of safety.
  • Matric and Diploma or Degree in Qualification in Health and Safety or relevant qualification
  • The ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Monthly report and adherence to deadlines.
