Job Description

The eCommerce Portfolio Manager plays a critical leadership role in aligning and executing IT/Tech commerce strategies across our eCommerce platforms — spanning web and mobile applications across multiple trading divisions.   • Ensure maximum up time of all applications and services within the centralised retail domain architecture as per the agreed SLA agreement with business. 
  • Delivery of Tech/IT RCA’s and analysis of reoccurring incidents to promote product stability. 
  • Build scalable solutions that ensure organic growth of the Group and optimal performance during load e.g. peak trade, Black Friday etc.

Qualifications

What are our minimium requirements to apply?

  • 5–10 years of proven experience in eCommerce, digital product management, or eCommerce project/portfolio management within a digital-first environment.
  • 2–3 years in a leadership or cross-functional coordination role, ideally within a complex eCommerce or digital transformation context.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple digital/IT projects or products simultaneously across large-scale or multi-brand organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of leading eCommerce platforms, such as Magento (including Magento 2), Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Oracle ATG, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with order management and fulfilment ecosystems, including:

The Junior Business Analyst plays a foundational role in supporting the analysis, documentation, and delivery of business solutions that address operational challenges or enable strategic opportunities. Working under the mentorship and direction of more experienced business analysts or portfolio managers, the Junior BA assists in gathering and validating business requirements, documenting current and future state processes, and participating in discussions related to functional requirements and solution design to ensure business needs are accurately understood and documented. Qualifications

  • A degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering

How we work?

  • The Data Science (DS) team sits within the Mr Price Advance team – alongside our Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Special Projects and Robotic Process Automation teams.
  • The Mr Price Advance team falls within the Mr Price Technology division.  The Technology division has various specialisations (e.g. Security, Cloud, Infrastructure) which allows each of us to focus on our own particular strengths.  (There’s also the annual Hackathon.  So far the DS team has 2nd and 4th places – come help us win this year!)
  • We have hybrid working arrangements, typically working Mondays and Fridays from home.
  • Majority of our work (80%+) is project based with the balance (~20%) spent supporting our existing solutions.

Technical Design:

Job Description

  • Work with architects, system engineers and other IT support teams to define, guide, advise on security standards across the IT landscape, monitoring network activity to identify vulnerable points
  • Design and configure security hardware and software
  • Use the toolsets available to identify and detect intrusions on corporate network and endpoints; detect any unauthorized attempts to access the systems
  • Solutionise by providing options for the IT network for enhancement to the security roadmap
  • Train other employees on security best practices, mentoring to junior team members
