LECTURER: (nGAP) DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC AND
ENVIROMENTAL LAW

Requirements:

  • Master of Laws degree (LLM) with an overage of 70%
  • The applicant must be a South African citizen.

Duties:
The incumbent will be required to:

  • Assumed duty as a permanent academic staff, subject to applicable
    probationary rules, regulations, and policy.
  • Conduct law lecturers and teach LLB modules in the School of Law.
  • Prepare, conduct and review assessments, and provide effective
    feedback to students
  • Provide supervision of research works of LLB and LLM students
  • Attend and participate in training workshops concerning assessment,
    moderation, teaching and learning, legal pedagogy, research and
    community engagement.
  • Present articles in accredited peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute chapters in books
  • Contribute papers in conference proceedings.
  • Participate in and perform designated community engagement duties,
    as well as branding and marketing of the department.
  • Participate in specific administrative and managerial duties as may be
    necessary and per directive of the Head of Department and
    Management.

DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINOLOGY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE
NGAP LECTURER

The University of Limpopo is seeking to employ a suitable candidate in a permanent position as outlined
below. The post is part of Higher Education and Training’s nGAP; and all applicants must be South
Africans who are 40 years or younger. The successful candidate shall enter into a contract that commits
him/her to undertake at most six (6) years of academic support iAfd..

Requirements:

  • Master of Arts criminology degree / Criminal Justice (or related equivalent), with 70% average pass

  • Maintains class discussions in assigned modules.

  • Manages involvement in research processes and oversees and participates in project teams
    working on research projects.
  • Participation in conferences.
  • Supervise postgraduate students.
  • Produce published articles/books/chapters in book (measurable research outputs in DHET
    accredited journals).
  • Establish their own research niche in the Department and participate in research activities leading
    to publication of articles in internationally peer-reviewed/accredited journals.

Academic citizenship

  • Involvement in community engagement; and
  • Takes an active role in professional organisations

Governance

  • Prepare course outlines and study guides.
  • Organise course files, deliver to deadlines.

nGAP LECTURER (COMMUNICATION STUDIES)

The University of Limpopo, Department of Communication, Media and Information
Studies, invites applications for a Lecturer position in Communication Studies
Programme under the New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP). This
initiative, established by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET),
forms part of the Staffing South Africa’s Universities Framework (SSAUF).
The nGAP Programme offers an excellent supportive environment for emerging
academics to complete their studies while concurrently developing their teaching and
learning, research, innovation, and community engagement skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
⚫ A Master’s, Degree in Communication Studies or equivalent (such as
specialised areas of Communication: Public Relations, Organisational
Communication) with an average of academic competence of 70% and above
⚫ Currently enrolled in a PhD programme in Communication Studies and
demonstrating satisfactory academic progress.

Lecturer: Soil Physics Chemistry

DUTIES:

LECTURER-FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING SCIENCE (nGAP POST)

OVERVIEW:
The School of Health Care Sciences invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for
a Lecturer position in the Discipline of Nursing Science under the New Generation of
Academics Programme (nGAP). The nGAP is an initiative of the Department of Higher
Education and Training aimed at building a pipeline of early-career academic in South
Africa

Minimum Requirements:
nGAP Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be 40 years of age or younger (i.e.s40 years) in line with nGAP
    guidelines
  • A Master’s degree in Nursing with a minimum pass mark of 70%

Discipline-Specific Requirements:

  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a
