MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support the Provincial teams as part of the deal origination process and ultimately contribute to growing the book and ensuring compliance to all legal requirements and relevant policies and procedures.

To perform the required conveyancing and notary activities on behalf of the relevant Provincial Offices by securing loans and legally transferring ownership while ensuring that all relevant legislation pertaining to individuals, entities and respective legal capacity is understood and adhered to.

Supporting the process of entering into loan transactions or purchase and sale transactions by assisting with the drafting of all loan contracts in collaboration with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Support the business with required transactions and related legal activities to ensure that risks relating to securities and client accounts are maintained from a legal perspective and the interests of the Bank are protected.

Provide management with any required status reports and make recommendations.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Drafting, Vetting and Concluding Legally Enforceable Loan Contracts

Responsible to compile/ draft required loan agreement/contract with supporting documents, including but not limited to, any conveyancing and notary documents.
Drafting of required legal agreements including but not limited to security documents and any conveyancing and/or notary documents for signature as below.
Ensure that the signatures from clients and other parties are obtained.
Responsible to issue guarantees as required to finance the transaction
Responsible to ensure compliance to all conditions, legal requirements and Land Bank policy and procedures.

  1. Responsible for the Registration of Securities and Associated Processes on behalf of the Land Bank

Manages the registration process:
Conduct deeds office searches and any other required searches in preparation for the registration of securities.
Attend to the registration of conveyancing and notary transactions
Collaborate with attorneys for registration of conveyancing and notary transactions in the deeds office.
Ensured adherence to all legislative requirements e.g. FICA, NCA, CPA etc.
Responsible to inform all the relevant parties as it pertains to the conveyancing transaction once the conveyancing documents are ready for lodgement

  1. Progress Reporting

Analyse and determine the nature and extent of requests received for the compilation of a report
Collate, analyse and verify the required data from all relevant sources.
Generate the progress report in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Recommend in accordance with the information at hand.
Submit reports for approval as required according to the DOPs.

  1. Maintain Existing Client Accounts and Stakeholder Relationships

Receive registered deeds from the relevant Deeds Office, update security system and file security documentation
Manages client queries as required in collaboration with the Commercial Bankers and the Portfolio Management Services teams.
Ensure continuous follow-ups until expected outcomes are attained
Document management of the interaction with the relevant role players for future reference purposes
Proactive building of internal relationships with all business units
Understanding operational business needs
Providing business solutions in area of expertise

  1. Monitoring compliance with Land Bank Act and other applicable legislation relating to conveyancing

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To plan, direct, lead and manage the provincial sales and marketing strategy for Land Bank Insurance. This includes identification and management of all relevant stakeholders and brokers in the province. The primary purpose of the role to drive the growth of Land Bank Insurance products in the province and to increase Land Bank Insurance visibility in order to optimize new and existing business opportunities. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support the operationalisation of Land Bank’s Sustainability Framework through the coordination and delivery of targeted sustainability programmes, products and services, internal capability building, and strategic stakeholder engagement. The role is responsible for translating the sustainability framework into action, embedding sustainability across the organisation, and strengthening the Bank’s external credibility and partnerships. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO) and assist with scheduling, planning and co-ordinating all Divisional activities

Key Performance Areas

  1. Secretarial support

Organise CTOO’s, schedule appointments and ensures there are no conflicting appointments in the diary
Telephone response – attendants to telephone calls for the CTOO’s office. Takes appropriate actions to attend to the calls, takes messages and/or re-route calls.
Co-ordinate and arrange CTOO business travel trips and ensures itinerary is made available to CTOO prior to trips, redirect correspondence, prioritizing issues and discuss with the CTOO
Maintain files, records and documents in the CTOO office
Primary contact in the CTOO’s office.
Provides secretarial support in meetings chaired by the CTOO

  1. Scheduling, planning and co-ordinating Divisional activities

Plan and schedule meetings for the CTOO
Draft and distribute the agenda after approval by the CTOO
Distribute the minutes and task list after the meeting and follows up on task list and follows through with the respective members of the meeting
Develop and manage relationships with other Divisions
Liaise with other Divisions, collects information from Division’s Management team and collates reports required ensuring accuracy of the reports and that reports are submitted on due dates

Make all equipment for meetings available
Take minutes of the meeting, draft minutes for the CTOO to edit and distribute the minutes after the minutes are approved
Receive visitors for the CTOO

Arrange visitors parking prior to arrival
Meet and greet visitors and offer refreshments
Ensure visitors have registered at reception on arrival
Distribute all necessary documentation to the visitor prior to the meeting
Co-ordinate all internal attendees for the meeting.

Register on receipt of hard copy documents and distribute accordingly
Type documents for authorisation i.e. memos, letters, submissions, travel requests, requests for payments and petty cash
Take stock of and order stationery to maintain an adequate supply of stationery items for the Division
Archive the documentation in accordance with policies and procedures
Provide documentation to requestors in accordance with the document management policy and procedure when requested

  1. Facilitate events

Receive a request for the arrangement of a conference or strategic session; or
A conference or strategic session is arranged in accordance with the annual schedule
Filter requests for engagements and determine relevance for referral to the CTOO
Manage RSVPS or correspondence declining invitations
Analyse the objectives of the event to determine the best approach to be utilised; or
Facilitate the securing of appropriate resources in conjunction with travel and events to support the event.
