Work Integrated Learning Programme:
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) invites applications for eighteen months (18) Work
Integrated Learning Programme.

We are looking for TVET College Learners to join our Work Integrated Learning Programme in the
following field:

  • Management Assistant N6 – 3 Positions – Ref: SAWSWIL 2025

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • An applicant must have just completed an N6 in the above-mentioned field of study.
  • An applicant has been unemployed for a period of less than one-year after completion of
    the N6.
  • An applicant will be required to submit their Certificate of achievement and letter from
    College implying intent to complete/fulfil Diploma, on the SAWS recruitment portal ( CV
    must clearly outline ID, Address etc.)
  • People Living with Disabilities are encouraged to apply. (Preferabble). Please provide a
    letter of Confirmation of Disability from the Doctor.

Successful candidates:

  • Successful candidate will be paid a monthly stipend of R5500.
  • Successful candidate will be responsible for arranging their own accommodation and
    transport to the respective SAWS Centurion offices.

Please Note: SAWS is under no obligation to employ the learners on upon the completion of the
programme.

The company became a public entity on 15 July 2001 in terms of the South African Weather Service Act (No. 8 of 2001). It is an authoritative voice for weather and climate forecasting in South Africa and as a member of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) it complies with international meteorological standards.

As an Aviation Meteorological Authority, SAWS is designated by the state to provide weather services to the aviation industry, marine and a range of other identified clients and to fulfil a range of international obligations of the government of South Africa. SAWS is also the official provider of weather and climate information for the South African public and for commerce.
