Description
Purpose of the Job:
To assist the department in handling complaints and queries from multiple sources, redirect complaints to external stakeholders, regulatory authorities and internal FSCA divisions in accordance with relevant protocols and management of the debarment register. The person appointed to this position will report to the Manager.
Key Performance Areas:
•Assess complaints and queries received by the Department;
•Refer matters that do not fall within the scope of the FSCA to external stakeholders;
•Refer matters that fall within the scope of the FSCA to relevant internal stakeholders;
•Engage with internal and external stakeholders with regards to the activities of the Department;
•Engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the closure of various matters;
•Assist with the outreach projects; and
•Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department as directed by the management team

Requirements

Purpose of the Job:
To assist the department in ensuring that the approved authorised Financial Services Providers (FSPs) and their Compliance Officers comply with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) legislation and its subordinate legislation. The person appointed to this position will report to the Manager.
Key Performance Areas:
•Monitor compliance with legislation to ensure sound and efficient Financial Services Providers and the protection of consumers;
•Analyse financial statements and other statutory reports of Financial Services Providers;
•Ensure that following a thorough analysis, matters are referred for regulatory actions where applicable;
•Assist Manager with theme work and conduct research in terms of risk base supervision approach;
•Identify and report trends in the financial services sector with possible impact on the FSCA’s regulatory objectives;
•Take part in the implementation of a Conduct Risk Framework as part of supervision and monitoring;
•Perform onsite inspection in terms of risk-based supervision approach;
•Assist junior staff with planning and performance on onsite inspection;

Requirements
An LLB or B Com or B Tech degree with Accounting as a major with at least 3 years relevant experience of financial services industry or compliance management. The candidate must have a good knowledge and exposure to the financial sector, a good understanding of the FAIS Act of 2002. Good knowledge and/or experience of the FAIS regulatory framework and understanding of the insurance or banking industry is essential. Knowledge and understanding of Crypto Assets Services Providers (CASPs) regulations and risk management is required.

Description
Purpose of the Job:
To develop, curate and manage high-quality, accessible and impactful financial education content tailored to diverse consumer audiences. The development includes the research, conceptualisation, development, customisation and maintenance of content across multiple distribution platforms including digital, print and other media. This includes monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of the content’s implementation. The person appointed to this position will report to the Departmental Head.
Key Performance Areas:
•Develop a consumer financial education content strategy to lead and direct content in consumer financial education programmes and projects;
•Oversee the development, writing, production and maintenance of print and electronic/digital content;
•Conduct local and international research on consumer financial education content and related issues to keep financial education programmes current and topical;
•Participate as and when required in financial literacy workshops and presentations;
•Work and liaise with FSCA departments, national and international consumer protection and education organisations and other financial education bodies to acquire consumer financial education content;
•Write creative and engaging content as required or assist in selecting service providers to do so;
•Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Monitor and evaluate the use of content in all formats in consumer financial education programmes and projects;
•Monitor content delivered through the Consumer Education Department’s website, validate its editorial integrity and track trends; and
•Act as part of a team to quality assure content across all media platforms.

The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: excellent communication (verbal and written), , business/report writing and presentation/facilitation and computer skills. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel nationally.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Journalism, Education or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in content development, preferably in financial education or consumer advocacy. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential. Knowledge of and experience in working with print and electronic media content, including content for social media. The candidate must be able to interact effectively with senior staff/ industry partners and stakeholders. Experience in instructional design and in developing web content and modifying content for different target audiences and cultural sensitivities is a prerequisite. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing trends and technologies, take initiative and work effectively under pressure whilst upholding an emphasis on quality.
