ITIL Service Engineer

Brief Role Description
Provide users access to Information Service Assets (applications, servers, folders etc) by providing Active Directory (LAN) user account management, Group Application Access Support, Group Application User Account Access (via UMS) as well as the role of PKI Registration Authority which involves the creation and issuing of secure PKI cards.
Responsible for facilitating, monitoring and verifying the performance of all aspects of identity and access services delivered or provided by VWSA’s IT suppliers to develop and maintain operational excellence to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Satisfy requests for access to Information Assets timeously, allowing users to authenticate to our network, access internal systems and/or access Group systems.
- Ensure professional, efficient ITIL processes are implemented and continuously and consistently adhered to, thereby ensuring optimal response times in resolving all Incidents/Problems.
- Support IT management by measuring all elements of suppliers’ services, making sure that services have assured contracts, defined SLAs, agreed KPIs, and provide support in the active management of contracts and any associated budgets, in order to ensure the necessary level of support for the business at all times.
- Monitor all incident, problem and continuity processes, within process scope, to ensure they are fit for purpose, providing information and advice for clear communication to relevant stakeholders where necessary.
- Contribute to the design of, and support in, the delivery of accurate reporting against all elements of service delivery so that information is available to key stakeholders and IT senior management.
- Formulate recommendations on alternative approaches/processes to realise desired functionalities, enhancements and desired levels of security.
Qualification requirements
- Degree or Diploma Information Technology
- A ITIL Certifications
Experience
- 2-4 years in IT service delivery activities
- 1-3 years in managing IT (or other) service provider relationships
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience in Windows Operating System environment
Essentials
- Knowledge and experience in UMS (Group User Management System)
- General understanding of Technologies, Servers, Desktops, Networking
- Technical knowledge and skills in UMS (Group User Management System)
- Strong understanding of service delivery methods and issues

Brief Role Description

Metrology Technician

- Have a minimum of 5 years Metrology measuring experience (Tactile or Optical).
- Have a minimum of 5 years measuring software experience (PC-Dmis, GOM, Polyworks)

- Offline and teach programming experience of CMM facilities

Brief Role Description
The Systems Analyst supports the business by helping them to transform operational objectives into business solutions by gathering, analysing and translating their specific needs into clear, unambiguous business requirements and functional specifications, and ensuring that all end to end requirements of change and projects are met. Possible Tasks within this Role

- Build business cases using modeling tools, cost benefit analysis and impact assessments to support or define cost effective and workable solutions for the business.
- Define functional and system specifications and support the user and acceptance testing to ensure that each step has been carried out, the built solution meets budget, quality, and customer need and any implications for the business have been identified and analysed.
- Provide project managers with estimates, business cases, planning, and risk identification, problem and issue management to support the design and delivery of projects that implement proposed solutions to agreed time and budget.
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to create functional specifications and co-ordinate the delivery of their services in line with proposed solutions and project timelines.
- Document business requirements, business processes and system requirements including the outputs of formal analysis techniques so that there is an accurate record.
- Investigate, research and propose new developments in technology that may be usefully applicable to the wider business to improve the current service.
Qualification requirements
BSc / B. Comm / BSc Eng – IT related degree or IT related diploma
Experience
3 – 5 years’ experience in an IT environment.
Essentials
- A good understanding of Prince 2 or similar project methodologies
- Has worked concurrently on several analysis engagements varying in size and complexity
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Good understanding and experience of business process modeling
- Experienced to both Waterfall and Agile development
- Proven stakeholder management
