CENTRAL OFFICE
POST/POSITION: IT TECHNICIAN
REF: COLL/CENT/ 01/2025
SALARY: R325 101.00 pa (plus 37% in lieu of benefits)
SALARY LEVEL: SL7
DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT
NAME COMPONENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 plus a three (3) years National Diploma in Information Technology (IT)/ Computer Science or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA. Must have minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, networks, Desktop and Operating systems. Experience with Microsoft packages with include Office, Information Systems. Experience with supporting thin clients, communicate verbal and written skills. Problem solving skills, collaborative, and excellent people skills, creative and analytical. A valid driver’s license.is a prerequisite
DUTIES: Diagnose software and hardware problems, Desktop and printer management, support computers, printers, and other hardware, computer installations, manage helpdesk issues, manage corporate Antivirus protection for all computers, and provide support to all staff on IT-related problems. Track and prioritise ICT support calls and document the resolution. Install, and configure new computers and other IT equipment. Identify problems and repair existing ICT equipment and keep track of IT supplies and equipment. Provision for the measure and adherence of policies and standards.
POST/POSITION: SUPPLY CHAIN AND ASSET ADMINISTRATION CLERK (4 Posts)

SALARY: R228 321.00 pa (plus 37% in lieu of benefits)

DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT
NAME OF THE COMPONENT: SUPPLY CHAIN AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 plus a three (3) years National Diploma in Logistics
Management/ Supply Chain Management or relevant qualification recognized by SAQA. Minimum of 0–2-years’ experience in supply chain environment.
DUTIES: Render demand and acquisition clerical support, update and maintain supplier (including contractors) database, register suppliers on MIS, check and verify signatures on requisitions. request and receive quotations, verify correctness of quotes in relations to the request, capture specification on the electronic purchasing system, placing orders, issue and receive bid documents, provide secretariat or logistical support during the bid processes and contracts conclusion process, compile and draft documents as required. Render logistical support services i.e. place orders for goods, receive and verify goods from suppliers, check correctness between invoices and purchase order (good/services), check for any discrepancies on the invoice and purchase order, confirm service/goods delivery with end users, receive request for goods from end users, issue goods to end users.

Resource Management or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA. Minimum of 0–2-years’ experience in human resources environment. Computer literacy. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Knowledge of HRM processes and practices, Public Service Regulations; Public Service Act; Knowledge of Recruitment & Selection, Understanding of Human Resource Administration. Excellent Communication (oral and written); Interpersonal; Planning & Organising.
DUTIES: Facilitate recruitment and selection (Advertisements, appointments, transfers, verification of
qualifications, secretariat functions in shortlisting and interviews sittings, probationary periods etc). Facilitate conditions of services (housing Allowances, medical Aids, long service recognition, overtime, relocation, allowances, etc.) Facilitate termination of services (Resignations, Retirements, Ill Health, death etc). Performance management. Leave Administration.
POST/POSITION: SENIOR FACILITIES OFFICER

DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT
NAME OF THE COMPONENT: INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT, FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 plus a three (3) years National Diploma in Building / Civil Engineering/Facilities Management. Experience in Project Management or Facilities Management will be an added advantage. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the administration of, facilities and maintenance projects. Competencies, Abilities, and Skills: Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, organizing and planning skills, communication skills (written and verbal), analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and financial management skills.
Customer care services. Knowledge of risk management principles, project scheduling, project management, and facilities management. A valid driver’s license will be added as an advantage.
DUTIES: Oversee the construction and maintenance of buildings and premises. Ensure compliance to SHERQ and OHS Act. Ensure proper handling of college records, documents and archiving. Manage all infrastructural projects in liaison with the Principal Agent. Assist in identifying, collating, recommending and tracking college infrastructural projects. Assess ad-hoc projects proposals and motivate relevant project work. Ensure that work is correctly scoped. Coordinate and develop the strategic infrastructural and/or maintenance plan of the college.
Where directed manage the required tasks borne of the College Infrastructural Efficiency Grant CIEG) of the project and ensure that work is aligned to the DHET’s requirements thereof. Ensure projects are managed through their phases, from project initiation to delivery to close-out. Work / Liaise with relevant stakeholders to manage projects.
Maintain a risk register for all projects undertaken. Maintain sound relationships between internal and external stakeholders. Compile and submit comprehensive reports and ensure adherence to reporting standards. Ensure there is complete close out report before the rest of the project costs are paid out. Management of all humans, financial and other resources of the unit
POST/POSITION: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK INFRASTRUCTURE

DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT

DUTIES: Provide infrastructure and maintenance clerical support services within the component. Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedure. Prepare for internal and external meetings. Minute taking, report writing, updating, and modifying of records. Keep and maintain the project filling system. Update project registers and statistics. Communicates to relevant role players and follow up on progress made. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the procurement of Departmental goods and services. Ensure the effective flow of information and documents to and from the infrastructure office to Central Office staff and Campuses.
Handle routine inquiries from contractors. Capture and update project-related expenditures in the component.
Assist in administration of health, safety, and maintenance reports. Responsible for acquiring vehicles and ensuring they meet safety standards. Overseeing regular maintenance checks and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and operational. Creating and enforcing fleet safety policies and procedures. Managing the fleet budget, issuing of fleet to personnel, including fuel consumption and maintenance costs. Oversee the management of the cleaning department, including the supervision of cleaning staff, procurement of cleaning materials, and maintenance of upto-date stock records.

NAME OF THE COMPONENT FINANCE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 plus a three (3) years National Diploma NQF level 6 in Accounting/Financial Management/Business Management or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA 0-2 years relevant experience in finance environment and knowledge of financial systems Competencies: Computer literacy (MS Office), Good communication skills (verbal and written). Good interpersonal relations, Administration and organizational Skills, Accuracy, and attention to detail. Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Knowledge and understanding of public service legislations, regulations, and policies.
DUTIES: Process the payment of creditors, check invoices for correctness and verification and approval
(internal control) Perform salary administration support services. Check claims and other documents for
correctness. Capture all financial transactions e.g., payments, allowances. Administer petty cash. Handle
internal and external enquiries. Perform general administrative duties., process electronic banking transactions and compile journals, clear suspense, and unallocated deposit accounts. Prepare bank reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation, debtors and creditors reconciliation, filling of all finance documents, attend to all audit queries for both internal and external auditors. Verification of ledger codes. Monitor movement of budget to ensure compliance.

NAME OF THE COMPONENT: PARTNERSHIP AND LINKAGES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 plus a three (3) years National Diploma NQF level 6) in Management Assistant, Public Management, Marketing Management or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA. 0-2 year working experience or practical training in a real workplace in office administration duties and students work placement projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with people at different levels and diverse backgrounds. Good telephone etiquette and knowledge of the operation/utilisation of MS Word, Excel and Power Point and outlook. A driver’s licence will be added advantage.
DUTIES: Assist with the recruitment of students for Work Integrated Learning projects. Responsible for assisting with the registration of learners’ applications on the SETAs registration system. Communicate verbally, telephonically and emails with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for record keeping. Make requests for payments. Handle enquiries from various stakeholders, coordinate meetings and arrange the logistics timeously in preparation for the meetings, travelling and accommodation. Take minutes in meetings. Assist with monitoring of students. Overall be responsible for administration duties of the office. Perform any other duties as delegated by the Supervisor.

NAME OF THE COMPONENT: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ABET Level 4 / Standard 8/ Grade 10. Minimum of 1-2 Years’ experience in Cleaning Services environment. Knowledge: Knowledge of facilities policies and procedures. Knowledge of relevant legislation, prescripts, policies and procedures, Knowledge of hygiene and the storage cleaning material and equipment, Skills: Reading, Communication (verbal and written), Operating of gardening and cleaning equipment, People management, Office management and administration, Analytical, Computer literacy, Problem-solving, Planning and organizing, Disciplined.
DUTIES: To supervise cleaning services. Oversee cleaning services of offices, corridors, general kitchens,
restrooms, elevators and boardrooms. Manage and ensure the maintenance of cleaning materials and equipment.
Ensure maintenance and replacement of cleaning machines and equipment. Make requisition and issue cleaning materials. Supervise cleaners. Perform administrative and related functions. Provide guidance and advice to cleaners. Develop and update the cleaning roster. Supervise the maintenance of office buildings. Conduct regular building inspections. Supervise the attendance to minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry problems. Supervise the maintenance of office equipment and furniture, repair of broken furniture and equipment. Report defects.
Supervise the safekeeping of maintenance tools and supplies.
VEREENING CAMPUS
POST/POSITION: CAREER GUIDANCE OFFICER (STUDENTS COUNSELLOR)

NAME OF THE COMPONENT: ACADEMIC AND STUDENT ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT SERVICES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / NCV Level 4 Certificate plus an undergraduate BA Degree (NQF 7) in Psychology/ Social Science, equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA or associate degree in Counselling. A minimum of 2-3 years professional counselling experience, preferably in an educational field. Experience with counselling, principles, techniques, and practices as applied to students’ problems and developmental needs. Excellent active listening and communication skills. Patient, friendly, and accommodating personality. Social perceptiveness and an understanding of body language. Excellent interpersonal and mediation skills.
DUTIES: Provide career guidance and testing of prospective students (in collaboration with the registration unit).
Provide academic and individual counselling sessions to students. Coordinate and provide career exhibition services. Implement programme to coach, mentor, and develop student job readiness. Teaches a variety of skills including social skills, study skills, and test-taking skills. Listening to students’ academic, emotional, social, personal, and behavioural concerns in an open and non-judgemental way. Working directly with students to develop solutions and set achievable goals. Assisting with conflict mediation and resolution between students, students and lecturers, or parents and lecturers to ensure students’ goals are not disrupted. Providing one-on-one career guidance and skills assessment to assist with career development. Helping students to prepare for admissions applications and tests. Providing students with materials related to career of their choice or career counselling to suit their skills. Developing, monitoring, and assisting with counselling programs.

Have knowledge to conduct risk assessments and incident investigation experience. Knowledge of ISO management systems; candidates must have intensive knowledge of OHSA and construction regulations. Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent report-writing skills. DUTIES: Assist with on-site compliance for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Support Risk and Legal
compliance on site. Ensure that service providers comply with health and safety requirements. Identify potential compliance issues proactively to prevent threats. administration Health and safety. To assist and support the facility and Infrastructure department to ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance to the college standards for health, safety, environmental and quality, whilst implementing ISO standards to ensure maintenance of best practice. Define and support existing and emerging health and safety and other regulatory compliance requirements across the organization. Develop and manage the annual compliance work plan that reflects the organization’s unique characteristics. Coordinate with college management to identify potential health and safety and compliance risks. Implement OHS policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitor the college’s adherence to those policies and procedures. Regularly review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures • Record and investigate
