- Communicates any problems experienced and risks identified during shift with other Operators on shift in a timeous and accurate manner to maximize shift efficiency and ensures the safety of other Operators.

- Conducts risk assessments as per the check list book.

- Continuously ensures that required drilling consumables are in place and that water and diesel requirements are met as per safe standard operating procedures.
- Operates other pieces of mobile equipment for which the Operator has an operating license if required such as diesel trucks, hazardous chemicals trucks, water trucks, lifting equipment such as high up, dozers, 777s, tire dozers and graders.
- Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
