Junior Digital Marketing Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

The role supports the Ecommerce Manager in executing the online sales strategy, with a strong focus on driving digital performance and growth. It involves managing and guiding digital marketing agencies to ensure alignment with business objectives, while optimising both the quality and volume of website traffic. The position also contributes to campaign planning by advising on digital marketing budgets and ensuring effective allocation of spend to maximise return on investment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Digital Campaign Management

  • Assist in building and monitoring Google Ads and Meta campaigns across GALXBOY SA, GALXBOY International and Luto Store
  • Conduct keyword research and refine audience targeting
  • Monitor campaign performance and implement data-driven optimisations
  • Advise on product and collection focus to support campaign effectiveness

Ecommerce & Website Optimisation

  • Support the development and enhancement of the online store’s look and feel
  • Execute website theme updates in line with seasonal trends, promotions and product launches
  • Identify gaps in the market and recommend improvements to the marketing strategy
  • Ensure alignment with SEO and SGE best practices, advising the Ecommerce team accordingly

CRM & Marketing Automation

  • Plan and set up email and WhatsApp campaigns, including A/B testing
  • Develop and implement automated marketing flows to improve customer engagement and conversion

Agency & Marketplace Coordination

  • Provide visual assets to marketing agencies, third-party marketplaces and online platforms
  • Assist in managing marketing strategies for third-party marketplaces

Content & Creative Support

  • Proofread blog content and edit visuals where required
  • Assist on set during Ecommerce photoshoots
  • Organise and maintain visual asset libraries

Reporting & Insights

  • Track and analyse campaign performance metrics
  • Assist in identifying key customer behaviours and trends in monthly reports

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Matric Certificate
  • Relevant certificate, diploma or degree in Digital Marketing, Ecommerce or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in digital marketing or ecommerce
  • Basic understanding of Google Ads and PPC principles
  • Working knowledge of SEO and SGE best practices
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo)
  • Proficiency in visual asset editing tools (e.g. Canva)
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing metrics, website traffic and conversion optimisation
  • Strong organisational, analytical and multitasking skills

JOB OVERVIEW

To inspect merchandise and ensure that the items and quantity are accurate, not damaged, no items missing and ensuring customer receives order in satisfactory manner.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Product Inspection & Order Accuracy
  • Inspect merchandise to ensure that items and quantities match the order.
  • Confirm no products are missing, damaged, or defective.
  • Perform quality checks before, during, and after packing.
  1. Warehouse Distribution & Retail Fulfilment
  • Manage the distribution of inventory from the warehouse to retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure proper packing methods to prevent damage during transit.
  1. Shipping & Receiving
  • Use scanning equipment to track and verify inventory.
  • Sign for incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of received merchandise.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of orders.

  • Load, unload, move, stack, and arrange merchandise in a safe and organized manner.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Customer Service

  • Greet customers as they enter the store, assist them in finding products, and provide product information and recommendations.
  • Actively and consistently implement upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase UPT,
    ATV, Conversion and Turnover.
  • Understand and promote all payment methods including PAYFLEX, PJN, Happy Pay
  • Representing the brand, adhering to uniform policy and grooming standards, presentable
    and professional on the sales floor.

Visual Merchandising

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products and placement, including materials, care instructions and pricing to effectively assist customers.
  • Steam, tag, price, hang, fold, replenish product and optimize space.
  • Understand and follow VM guidelines and practices to maintain a positive shopping
    experience for all customers.

Stock Control

  • Maintain stockroom organization and cleanliness ensuring products is placed in the correct categories and easily accessible to expedite the sales process.
  • Actively inform managers on stock levels, sell outs, best sellers and any other stock requirements.

Daily Operations and Housekeeping

  • Consistently follow and adhere to time and attendance requirements and procedures, clock in and out, report late coming and adhere to roster.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS system, cash handling,
    variance schedule updated, credit/debit card and payment methods.

Assistant Store Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Duties and responsibilities include training staff, managing inventory, ensuring a safe, clean and
aesthetically pleasing store environment and assisting customers. As well as promptly address and
resolve customer complaints and any staff issues.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Customer Service Leadership

  • Lead the sales team through example and ensuring meeting of personal and company sales targets – UPT, ATV and Turnover
  • Performs and supports the team in delivering excellent customer service
  • Floor presence, floor supervision, allocating team members as per zoning guide and supervising floor operations.

Visual Merchandising

  • Implementing merchandising as per guidelines and submitting VM pictures on a weekly
  • Conducting regular VM walks throughout the day, ensuring product is tagged, hanging correctly, steamed, priced and replenished sufficiently for trade.
  • Continuous self and team training and assessment of visual merchandising of the store.

Inventory Control

  • Process all deliveries on the same day as receipt, including checking quantities to invoices, tagging, hanging, steaming and pricing product, and capturing the stock on the system
  • Ensure stockroom is maintained and organized according to standards, stock positioned in order to expedite replenishment timeously.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts and stock takes accordingly, verify and submit accurate count reports.
  • Actively implement, practice and supervise risk control measures to help alleviate losses to the company.

Supervising Daily Operations

  • Manage time and attendance, Follow and implement opening and closing procedures accordingly
  • Maintain all daily requirements, POS operation, Cash up, cash drop, time and attendance and general housekeeping.
  • Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy, escalate and inform OPS where necessary

SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Matric certificate compulsory.
• Bachelor’s degree ideal.
• 1 – 2 years’ experience working in a retail environment in a managerial role.

Website & Conversion Optimisation

  • Ensure website content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Monitor site performance and identify opportunities to improve user experience and conversion rates.

Online Merchandising & Inventory Management

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience in order fulfilment processes and inventory management.
