CLERK: SAFETY X1 (GRADING B2)

Qualifying Criteria:
- Grade 10, 11 or Matric certificate
- Computer literacy with emphasis on excel
- 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry
- Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
- Basic understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and safety regulations
- COMSOC 1 and 2 or SAMTRAC certificates will be advantageous
- Flexibility is required and essential (able to work cycle of shifts)
- Must be able to work underground
- South African Citizenship

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the compilation and submission of monthly safety reports to management
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and competency certificates for personnel are current and filed.
- Capture safety statistics (leading/lagging indicators) and maintain databases
- Maintain and update safety files, including risk assessments, inspection findings, and incident/accident reports.
- Communicate with supervisor (s) on any shortages
- Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift
- Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
- Manage and maintain area of responsibility in accordance with mine standard procedures, policies and practices

Surveyor
Job Description
Job specification:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
- C.O.M Advanced Survey certificate and Elementary Valuation certificate or B-Tech in Mineral Survey
- Computer literacy and emphasis on MS Excel and MicroStation and Model Maker
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Incline Shafts
- Proficiency in English and any other of the 11 official languages
- Sound knowledge of Mine Survey software and draughting
- Knowledge of Topcon total station and GPS
- Must be a South African citizen
- Valid Driver’s License & own transport
- Clear Criminal Record
- Declared fit by our OMP (must be fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces)
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Support in MRM section
- Legal compliance
- Installation of survey pegs and direction line in stope panels and development ends
- Installation of side grades in development ends, measuring of stoping and development ends
- Compile Survey start notes, stopping and holing notes
- Measuring of stockpiles, dumps and calculations of stockpile volumes
- Regular survey to control major underground features, for example; Decline dimensions, gradient, directions, stope drive levels and orientation
- Carrying out standard work place inspections and compliance checks and maintaining relevant procedures
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports
- Assist in mine design and drawing of mine instructions and underground personnel
- Carry out duties of a Sampler when required

TMM FITTER
Job Description
Job specification:
- Matric certificate, N2 or equivalent qualification
- Trade test in Diesel Mechanic/ Earth Moving Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter, Millwright or Fitter preferably section 13 from a recognised institution
- Minimum 5 years proven post qualification experience within a trackless mobile machinery
- In depth practical knowledge with original equipment manufacturer qualifications of Sandvik, Caterpillar, Fermel, Manitou, Back/Front Loader, Dozers and Atlas Copco mobile machinery are essential and not negotiable
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic fault-finding hydraulic systems, hydraulic cylinders, drifters, bolters, torque convertors, transmissions, and final drives
- Sound knowledge of Caterpillar, Mercedes Benz Deutz, Cummins, Detroit, Perkins and Toyota engines inclusive of engine protection systems
- Good knowledge of electro/hydraulic operated components and fault-finding making use of computerized diagnostic systems
- Independent judgment, initiative and interpersonal communication and technical skills are essential and required
- Sound knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems associated with this position Afrigle, Saps or JD Edwards
- Demonstrate in depth knowledge of TMM Equipment Mechanical policies, procedures and practices
- Ability to work flexible hours and perform standby duties
- Proficient in English and any other of 11 official languages

- Work a rotation and circle of shifts
- Timeous and effective maintenance and repairs to all TMM Equipment and accessories
- Ability to make rough sketches, pre-planning and estimate the cost and report back to supervisor(s)
- Troubleshooting and detailed fault analysis
- Ensure spares availability to minimize standing time and optimize availability of TMM Equipment to ensure sustained production
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure that all TMM Equipment/ Machinery fire suppression, alarms and electrical emergency systems are always operational
- Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed standards and practices

SENIOR TMM SUPERVISOR (GRADING D1)
Job specification
- Matric certificate / N2, or equivalent NQF 4 qualification
- Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate as recognised by the MQA
- Maintenance Supervisor Certificate / TMM Foreman Certificate
- Minimum knowledge of 7 years’ experience as an Artisan (inclusive of excellent safety and production results)
- Minimum 6 years of experience on Drill Rig will be advantageous
- Working knowledge of applicable legislative, safety, health, and environmental requirements and standards
- Good SHEQ knowledge, Mining logistics knowledge
- Good knowledge of M&A equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Relevant computer skills, Basic report writing skills
- South African Driver’s License (Code 8-10) is essential
