HR Administrator

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Checking and verifying time and attendance for staff on the time and attendance system on a weekly basis
  • Assisting with sending relevant information to payroll timeously
  • Administrating of termination documentation such as UI19s, certificates of service and withdrawal forms
  • Assisting as HR representative in disciplinary proceedings
  • Capturing disciplinaries, leave, and other items on the HR payroll system
  • Ensuring that all filing is up to date and correctly filed on a weekly basis
  • Arranging and taking minutes in chapel and equity meetings

Senior Quality Technician

Job Description

The Senior Quality Technician, plays a critical role in ensuring that all product performance meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, in line with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, this position supports product development, quality control, assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Support Product Development Management
    • Track and update the progress of product trial management.
    • Support with trials at customer premises and ensure that key information is documented.
    • Attend product trials daily meetings and provide input.
    • Establish the testing criteria in line with customer product performance requirements.
    • Assist with trial priorities based on project pipeline.
    • Verify the trial information before the creation of the specification book for the trials.
    • Test and analyse material structures for new business development and opportunities.
    • Adhere to continuous improvement guidelines to enhance existing products and support new research.
    • Keep the business updated about the trial performance and milestones achieved weekly against plan.

  4. Wet chemistry
    • Ensure availability of testing consumables and consider the shelf life of testing solutions for in-house testing.
  5. Method development
    • Develop testing methods to improve laboratory efficiencies.
    • Develop testing procedures outlining testing criteria and precautionary measures, including job observation criteria and assessments.

  • Diploma or Degree in Packaging, or related field.

The incumbent, reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for leading quality assurance and laboratory operations to ensure consistent compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Quality and Laboratory Management
    • Lead and manage QA laboratory operations in line with approved sampling plans, operating procedures, test methods, and frequencies.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO 9001, BRCGS, and SEDEX requirements.
    • Ensure all quality specifications, SOPs, and test methods are current and available at the point of use.
    • Oversee calibration and verification of laboratory and production testing equipment in accordance with the calibration programme.
    • Maintain laboratory housekeeping, visual management, and safety standards.
    • Ensure availability, suitability, and readiness of laboratory equipment, tools, and consumables.
    • Review laboratory records daily and identify deviations, trends, and improvement opportunities.
    • Ensure accurate and timely issue of Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
    • Conduct internal audits and support external audits related to laboratory, health and safety, product safety and quality systems.
  1. Non-Conformance & CAPA Management
    • Manage internal, customer, supplier, and certification-related non-conformances.
    • Manage and action inspection and quarantine locations within established time frames.
    • Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and closed within defined timelines.
    • Identify recurring non-conformances and drive systemic improvements.
    • Support operations with investigations and participate in operational and quality review meetings.
    • Ensure shopfloor awareness of quality requirements and product performance standards.
  2. Trial & Product Development Support
  • Participate in product development and trial planning meetings.
  • Ensure trials are conducted in accordance with approved protocols and quality requirements.
  • Verify trial data prior to specification finalisation.
  • Monitor trials throughout the full trial lifecycle across all process stages.
  • Issue trial releases, Certificates of Analysis, final product specifications, and Declarations of Compliance.
  1. Operational & Continuous Improvement Support
    • Collaborate with manufacturing and continuous improvement teams to improve product performance and reduce waste.

Stores Controller

Job Description

The incumbent, reporting to the Stores Supervisor, will be responsible for the receipting of incoming Raw Material and controlling and receipting of Finished goods items for despatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving – Unload inbound deliveries safely and move product to storage location. Stack and store raw material in appropriate areas.
  • Check and receipt finished goods items for despatching
  • Quality – Ensure incoming raw material are accurate and free of damage.
  • Loading – Efficiently move product from storage areas into the specified areas in the factory.
  • Equipment – Load, unload, move and stack raw material using forklift truck. Perform routine inspections and post inspections.
  • Safety, Sanitation, Security – Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the stores. Comply with OHSA standards.

  • A minimum Grade 12 qualification and/ or relevant tertiary qualification.
