The Role: High School Educator
The educator will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality instructional programs in a high school setting, ensuring that students are inspired, challenged, and equipped to reach their full academic potential. This role involves fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and retention while creating a stimulating, inclusive learning environment that embraces modern educational trends and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery:
- Implement the IEB Information Technology curriculum for Grades 10 to 12 using future-focused and differentiated teaching methods.
- Proficiency in programming with JAVA and SQL is a prerequisite.
- Integrate technology and AI to deliver engaging, data-informed instruction that personalizes learning and supports critical thinking, wellbeing, and academic progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to embed RDI and Global Competencies, developing inclusive, culturally aware global citizens.
Assessment & Reporting:
- Continuously assess student progress through formative and summative methods, maintain accurate records, provide constructive feedback to students and parents, and participate in moderation and quality assurance processes aligned with Elkanah House standards.
Student Behaviour Management:
- Establish clear behavioural expectations, promote the school’s values, mentor students, and identify barriers to learning to ensure appropriate support mechanisms are activated.
School Brand Ambassadorship:
- Act as a role model for professionalism and the Elkanah House ethos. Participate actively in school events, extracurricular programs, and marketing initiatives. Support the professional growth of peers and contribute to the broader school community.
Administration:
- Assist with logistical tasks such as excursions, resource management, and ensuring adherence to school policies to maintain an effective learning environment.
Co-Curricular:
- Teachers are required to be involved in co-curricular activities and support the holistic development of students in a team manager or coaching capacity.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) with PGCE/HDE or B.Ed specializing in the relevant teaching subjects.
- Valid SACE registration and police clearance.
- 3-5 years of teaching experience with subject specialization.
- Familiarity with CAPS curriculum and inquiry-based learning preferred; IEB teaching and matric marking experience advantageous.
Preferred:
- Honours degree or subject specialisation
- Experience with digital literacy tools and global competencies

Aftercare Assistant (Ad hoc)
Job Description
The ADvTECH Schools Division leads the private sector in the field of education, contributing meaningfully towards the sustainable development of human capacity in South Africa.
Duties will include:
- Ad hoc position to assist with the holiday care programme.
- Supervising the lunch routine: serving and clearing.
- Assisting with Aftercare supervision and activities;
- Assisting with homework.
Competencies required:

Teacher: Foundation Phase

Duties
Foundation phase educators will create a learning experience to stimulate and grow individual talents and equip children with the requisite basic education skills in the areas of reading, literacy and numeracy amongst others. They will need :-
