Fix Wing Pilot
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the position of a Fix Wing Pilot based in Skukuza, Kruger National Park. Accommodation will be provided by SANParks. The reports to the Chief Pilot.
Location
Requirements
- Candidates must be in possession of a valid South African Civil Aviation Authority Aviation (SACAA) Fixed Wing Commercial License Aeroplane (CPL (A)).
- Minimum total fixed wing flight hours 600 hours.
- Minimum “Pilot In Command (PIC)” fixed wing flight hours 500 hours on similar aircraft such as Cessna 182 or Cessna 206.
- Minimum of 100 hours on type C182 and C206.
- Minimum of 100 hours flying from rural bush (gravel/grass) strips that require STOL operations and considerations.
- Valid Dangerous Goods course certificate.
- Valid Crew Resource Management course certificate.
- Valid SACAA Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate.
- Valid Night Rating.
- Valid and current Instrument Rating.
- Valid Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC to be on type C182/C206).
- Valid code 08 South African driver’s license.
- Candidate must be able to comply with SANParks aviation insurance requirements as a named pilot.
- Computer literacy proficiency essential (Microsoft Office).
- Candidates will be subjected to a full background; qualifications & criminal records check and will also be required to undergo an integrity (deception) testing process.
Responsibilities
- To manage and coordinate all fixed wing aircraft and fixed wing pilots for all SANParks.
- To perform fixed wing pilot duties for SANParks.
- Operational pre-planning and implementation to ensure availability of SANParks fixed wing aircraft with minimal downtime and effect to flight operations.
- Manage and oversight of fixed wing aircraft maintenance.
- Management of fixed wing aircraft after their return from a flight to ensure correct turnaround and operational standby.
- Management of fixed wing / ultralight pilots within SANParks Airwing flight operations.

Practitioner: Supply Chain Management (Fixed-Term Contract)

The successful candidate will perform general duties (cleaning, laundry) providing guest services and enhancing the overall visitor experience of tourism and hospitality services in SANParks. Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-feasibility studies of tourism development opportunities.
- Engage in SANParks’ strategy to diversify the tourism product range.
- Engage with National Treasury to initiate projects and to ensure that models being implemented are optimal.
- Actively engage role players to ensure detailed bid specifications, compilation of tender documents, facilitation of various steps in the process such as bidders conferences, tender evaluation and presentation to the bid adjudication committee, EXCO, audit and risk committee of the Board and the SANParks Board. - Manage a comprehensive portfolio of PPP projects that contributes in excess of R 45 million per annum to SANParks’ income.

Senior Manager: SCM (Infrastructure)
The Organisation requires the services of the Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management in the Supply Chain Management Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria. Responsibilities
- Develop, review and continuous enhancement of SCM policies, frameworks and standard operating procedures aligned to PFMA/MFMA, Treasury Regulations and internal governance requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and manage the SANParks land claims programme.
- Develop SANParks land claims policy, protocols, and strategic frameworks in line with sectoral policies.
- Lead the development of a common government position for all outstanding land claims against national parks in collaboration with the Commission of Restitution of Land Rights (CRLR).
- Provide inputs on the draft settlement agreements.
- Engage with stakeholders, claimant communities, park and regional managers, as well as relevant government departments on the resolution of land claims.
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of Co-management Agreements (including lease agreements) and associated beneficiation schemes.
- Develop cooperation agreements with strategic partners to ensure effective implementation of agreements.
- Undertake feasibility studies to assess the economic development opportunities and benefits for claimant communities.
- Develop business plans to support inclusive economic participation and increased investment and capital inflow for the development and poverty alleviation of land claim beneficiaries.
- Negotiate and facilitate agreements between claimants and other parties.
- Facilitate community benefits through sustainable land use practices.
- Conduct skills needs analysis for the implementation of a successful land claims programme
