Duties :

  • Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practises. Provide and Promote quality nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards. Provide Primary Health Care through implementation of a comprehensive nursing care plan/program. Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians. Ensure compliance to infection control principles and waste management guidelines. Ensure compliance to Ideal Clinic Realization Framework guidelines. Delegate duties to support staff in the execution of patient care service. Provide direct and indirect supervision of all nursing staff and support staff. Effective utilization of resources: Human Resources, material resources and financial resources. Assist with the relief of duties and act as shift-leader on extended hours of service. Partake on overall specialized unit functions, i.e., team building, Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Participate in preparation of monthly continuous medical education (CME).
