THE SOUTH AFRICAN STATE THEATRE (SAST), A National Public Entity listed as such in Schedule 3, Part A of the
Public Finance Management Act, 1999 and established in terms ofthe Cultural Institutions Act, 1998 as an
entity ofthe National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture from which we derive our mandate to provide
access to performance spaces in which the performing arts sector creates productions that are watched by diverse
audiences.
Our overarching outlook and vision is that we are the prestigious theatre of choice for a distinctly Pan-African
experience “The theatre of Africa”.
The South AfricanState Theatre seeks to appointtwo ICTStrategicCommittee experts to join its ICT Strategic Committee
(ICTSC) as IndependentExternal Members.The ICTSCis acommittee establishedtoassistSASTCouncil in carrying outits
mandate in line with the legislation mentioned above as well as other applicable laws and the King Code of Good
Corporate Governance. The external independent members will be required to provide expert advice on
implementing ICT Governance, development of ICT Strategy and (KPA’s) of the ICTSC as outlined in the Committee’s
Charter.
The two independent external members will be appointed to fulfill the below roles:
- Chairperson of ICTSC, and
- Expert Cyber Security advisor
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- ICTSC Chairperson responsibilities
Evaluate:
- Coordinate the development of CGICT Policy
- Coordinate planning based on direction
received from the ICT Strategic Committee - Determine, prioritise and recommend plans,
policies, strategies, resource/capacity
requirements, portfolios of ICT projects, and risk
management to the ICT Strategic Committee - Oversee the identification of the ICT prescriptive
environment
Direct:
- Oversee the implementation of approved
plans, policies, strategies, resource/capacity
requirements, risk management, benefits
realisation, portfolios of ICT projects, internal
and external audits - Determine the monitoring criteria and related
reporting requirements and processes for
conformance, performance, and assurance - Provide direction to all ICT related decisions that
may have an impact on the business operations
and culture of the entity that is escalated to the
to the Committee. - Oversee and report on the change
management implementation for the
implementation of CGICT
- Expert Cybersecurity advisor responsibilities:
- To serve and advise on the most efficient way
to protect the SAST system, networks, software,
data, and information systems against any
potential attacks. - To provide inputin vulnerability testing,threat
analyses, and security checks. - To advise and directthe research on
cybersecurity criteria, security systems, and
validation procedures. - To participate in ICTSC meetings as an
advisor and expert in addressing SAST ICT
vulnerabilities and cyber risks. - To advise on accurate ICT cybersecurity
expenditure and prioritising ICT security
projects. - To provide oversight on the design of ICT
security architectures for any ICT projects. - To advise on investigations and provide
security solutions using best Cybersecurity
standard analysis criteria. - To interrogate ICT Security technical reports
and official audit findings relating to ICT
vulnerabilities. - To give professional oversight and guidance
to security teams.
Competence requirements
a. Strong and dynamic leadership skills.
b. Ability to strategise and solve problems
through analytical reasoning ability and
critical thinking.
c. Expertise in ICT investment, and monitoring
the management
d. Expertise in ICT governance, strategy and
implementation.
e. Expertise in ICT investment, and monitoring
the management and mitigation of ICT risks
as well as cyber security.
f. Expertise in relation to the Department of
Service and Administration (DPSA)
Governance of ICT framework, COBIT, ITIL
and relevant ISO standards.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Information
Communication Technology (ICT) or
Computer Science. An equivalent
qualification with expertise in Information
Communication Technology (ICT) or
Computer Science will also be considered. - Certifications such as the following, will be
an added advantage: CGEIT, CRISC, CISA,
CISM, CISSP, COBIT and/or TOGAF.
Requirements for ICTSC Chairperson
- A postgraduate qualification in Information
Technology or related to ICT Governance
studies. - Experience in chairing ICTSC.
- Strong ICT Governance experience.
- Candidates should demonstrate experience
in serving committees, especially in the
government sector. - The ability to dedicate time to the activities
of the ICT Strategic Committee. - International certifications in ICT Governance
and Cybersecurity background will be an
added advantage.

Requirements for ICTSC Expert Cybersecurity
advisor
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in an ICT role
at Senior Management level, preferably in a
government public entity. - Preferably, experience serving as a member
of an ICT Committee or on an Audit
Committee providing ICT expertise from an
oversight perspective. - Experience in the following ICT areas:- ICT
legislation; ICT policy frameworks and
best practices; ICT governance principles
and processes; Cyber security; Enterprise
and ICT architecture; development of ICT
frameworks, policies and processes; ICT risk
management; and implementation of ICT
strategies and plans. - Knowledge of legislation applicable to a
government public entity, in particular the
Public Finance Management Act, and the
related National Treasury Regulations. - Experience in the following ICT areas:- ICT
legislation; ICT policy frameworks and
best practices; ICT governance principles
and processes; Cyber security; Enterprise
and ICT architecture; development of ICT
frameworks, policies and processes; ICT risk
management; and implementation of ICT
strategies and plans. - Knowledge of legislation applicable to a
government public entity, in particular the
Public Finance Management Act, and the
related National Treasury Regulations.

GENERAL WORKER

REPORTING TO: MAINTENANCE MANAGER
SALARY: MARKET RELATED
PERIOD: PERMANENT
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
- 6 months related experience
KEY PERFORMAMNCE AREAS:
- Assist with garden services (pruning of trees,
lawn, and rubble removal. - Clean inside and outside the theatre premises.
- Clean up theatre premises from hazardous or
obsolete material. - Perform manual labour tasks.
- Maintains flowers, bushes, trees, and shrubs,
keep green spaces - and walkways clear of debris and litter.
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- No Qualification required
