As a Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving cloud revenue growth across a defined portfolio of customers in South Africa. Introduction Summary
As a Technology Senior Logistics Consultant, you will work within a global team focusing on the positioning and delivery of Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) services. You will support customers in South Africa and globally, as well as contribute to internal initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP logistics modules and data migration, combined with the ability to engage customers and design solutions that address complex business transformation needs.

What you’ll do
- Identify customer logistics business needs and design appropriate solution proposals aligned to the DMLT portfolio and related SAP offerings.
- Lead and facilitate customer workshops and discussions to validate solution design and ensure alignment with requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and system analyses supported by SAP DMLT tools and methodology.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of DMLT solution design in line with evolving market requirements.
- Apply expertise in SAP logistics modules (SD, MM, PP, PM) and underlying data models.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across SAP.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience implementing data migration objects within SD, MM, PP, and PM modules.
What you bring
- 7–10 years of technical consulting delivery experience.
- Experience in SAP ABAP programming, debugging, and integrations.
- Experience acting as a solution architect or advisor, supporting customers in defining IT roadmaps using SAP products and services.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data models and logistics processes.
- Experience across multiple industries such as Public Sector, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Utilities, and Automotive.
- Proven experience leading at least two complex data migration projects to SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in S/4HANA implementations using tools such as Migration Cockpit, Data Services, or Migration Workbench.

THE ROLE
The Technical Service Manager (TSM) serves as the primary technical point of contact for SAP Enterprise Cloud Services customers, mainly focusing on HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC), S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition, S/4HANA Cloud Extended Edition, and HANA Enterprise Cloud Advanced Edition. The TSM drives end-to-end technical engagement from onboarding onwards, including customer onboarding, continuous service delivery, technical governance, architecture discussions, release and maintenance planning, service optimization, escalation handling, and technical advisory across the customer lifecycle. The TSM is expected to maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive issue mitigation, technical leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement while helping customers maximize the value of their SAP cloud transformation journey. The role acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners by understanding customer business requirements, resolving technical complexities, and orchestrating cross-functional SAP teams to deliver quality services.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customers for SAP technology discussions, innovations, technical escalations, incidents, and service requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders and establish a trusted technical advisor status.
- Demonstrate accountability as the technical orchestrator for End-to-End service delivery across customer landscapes.
- Understand customer business goals, challenges, and technical requirements to recommend optimal SAP solutions and services.
- Offer comprehensive expertise on SAP S/4HANA architecture, migration paths, conversion methodologies, and technical tools.
- Understand SAP High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), network, virtualization, and hyperscaler technologies.
- Identify top technical issues, define service improvement plans, and drive implementation of technical action items.
- Design and optimize SAP configurations to maximize system performance, stability, and availability.
- Act as a de-escalation point for critical customer situations and coordinate resolution across SAP delivery units.
- Support the positioning of additional ECS offerings and contribute to contract renewals in alignment with SAP sales teams.
- Proactively manage operational and security risks by ensuring maintenance activities, compliance actions, and risk mitigations are completed on time.
- Create a culture of proactive problem management and continuous service improvement.
- Collaborate with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery teams to establish long-term technical roadmaps and account strategies.
Education, Skills, and Competencies
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of SAP Basis administration, SAP system migration, SAP HANA, and SAP landscape operations.
- Good understanding of SAP cloud business, cloud infrastructure, hybrid environments, and cloud operational processes.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments, SAP HANA, and Sybase databases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer engagement, stakeholder management, and de-escalation capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements in parallel within a global virtual organization.
- Proactive, problem-solving, “customer first” mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working in global and matrix organizations.
Preferred Skills
- SAP Basis/Application certifications are highly beneficial.

Who You’ll become
A Solution Advisor works closely with our customers and prospects to identify and solve business challenges and meet their strategic objectives using SAP solutions. As part of the sales team, a Solution Advisor is the “subject matter expert” responsible for the functional and technical knowledge within the sales cycle. Who You’ll Become
The Customer Success Manager (CSM) works directly with customers to guide them through their business journey with our solutions. The CSM works to increase customer satisfaction, retention, renewals, references, and upsells for Cloud products within their assigned solution portfolio. The CSM oversees key customer milestones throughout the customer lifecycle, from deal signature through system provisioning, monitoring implementation progress, and business case achievement. - Immerse yourself in multi-dimensional, experiential learning with a focus on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.
- Enhance skills around your solution portfolio, managing customer retention, and driving value realization.
- Receive onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentoring by a senior CSM professional in the field. You will have the opportunity to work both behind the scenes and directly with customers.
The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP and the Customer Success board area and give you the professional experience to be ready to serve our customers. SAP Next Gen is our global experience for students and early talent (0–3 years of professional work experience). Being a part of the Next Gen community provides access to a supportive global network, tailored development opportunities, and the ability to contribute to high-impact projects across the business.
SAP’s employees across different regions are enabled to do their best job with the right mix of office and remote work according to country-specific guidelines and regulations. In general, our hybrid work setup consists of three days a week in the office or on-site with customers or partners.
We are planning a practical and immersive portion of our program, which will likely involve participants spending four (4) weeks, spread across two trips, in San Ramon, California. This experience is designed to provide unparalleled hands-on learning and networking opportunities.
During intensive phases of the program, it is critical that all participants are fully engaged and present to ensure maximum learning and success. As such, vacation will not be approved during some critical times of the program.

Who You’ll Become
The Account Executive’s primary responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business to existing and net new customers. The Account Executive empowers our customers to achieve their full potential by understanding their strategy, unique business goals, and desired outcomes, thereby driving cloud revenue growth through leading dedicated sales efforts to help customers solve their business challenges by positioning value through our solutions.
What You’ll Do
As an Account Executive within the SAP Next Gen – Academy for Customer Success, you will be responsible for the following:
- Successfully complete a 10-month learn-apply program, which includes classroom phases and field phases with your sales team, that enhances your support in the role and is a critical customer-facing function within our Customer Success Board Area.
- Immerse yourself in multi-dimensional, experiential learning focusing on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.
- Learn how to drive value across the customer lifecycle through solution adoption and ongoing renewals that foster account expansion.
- Receive onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentoring by a Senior Account Executive in the field. You will be able to work both behind the scenes and directly with customers.
The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP and the Customer Success board area and give you professional experience so that you can be ready to serve our customers. We offer full-time employment from day one with practical learning applications for your role. Upon successful completion of the program, you will move into a direct customer-facing sales role in your market and continue to receive mentoring and coaching support to accelerate your growth.

- SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) – Knowledge in Supply Chain, Asset Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Product and Project lifecycle management.
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a quota-carrying sales environment in a technology company OR in a role with significant exposure to business processes.
- Experience generating opportunities, qualifying leads, and managing sales pipelines across a defined territory with a proven track record of building customer relationships and articulating value propositions.
- A cooperative and productive approach to working relationships, internally and externally.
- A strong ability to quickly learn new concepts, adapt to changing environments, and apply knowledge to deliver results.
- An understanding of AI fundamentals, uses, and ethics, to identify business problems solvable with AI.
