The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) seeks to appoint a creative Multimedia Visual Content Creator intern to drive the visual storytelling and marketing strategy. The role involves assisting with shooting, editing, and producing high-quality photography and videography assets to capture destination highlights, corporate initiatives, and major events, ultimately converting raw visual media into engaging promotional content across digital platforms.
PURPOSE
To support Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) and Visit Gauteng in developing, producing, managing, and amplifying high-quality visual and multimedia content that promotes Gauteng as a leading tourism, business, lifestyle, and events destination through compelling destination storytelling and digital engagement.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Key Responsibilities
Photography, Videography and Content Production
- Plan, capture, edit, and produce professional photography and videography content showcasing Gauteng’s tourism offerings, attractions, events, experiences, people, and destinations.
- Develop short-form and long-form video content for digital, social media, website, marketing campaigns, destination promotion, and stakeholder engagement.
- Edit and package multimedia content according to brand and campaign requirements.
- Produce visual content that strengthens and enhances the Visit Gauteng destination brand identity and visual profile.
Multimedia Content Creation and Storytelling
- Create compelling multimedia stories that showcase Gauteng’s diverse tourism experiences, cultural heritage, innovation, lifestyle, and investment opportunities.
- Develop destination-focused visual narratives that support tourism promotion campaigns and strategic marketing initiatives.
- Generate engaging content tailored for various digital platforms and audience segments.
Digital Content Bank and Library Development
- Assist in the creation, organisation, maintenance, and management of a centralised GTA and Visit Gauteng digital content bank.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive photo and video library, ensuring proper cataloguing, tagging, metadata management, and accessibility of assets.
- Support the archiving and preservation of visual content for future campaigns, media relations, partnerships, and stakeholder use.
Social Media and Digital Content Management
- Create, curate, schedule, and optimise digital and social media content across GTA and Visit Gauteng platforms.
- Develop platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging digital channels.
- Monitor content performance and contribute ideas to improve audience engagement, reach, and destination visibility.
Event, Campaign and Project Support
- Provide photography, videography, livestreaming, and multimedia support for GTA and Visit Gauteng events, activations, campaigns, exhibitions, media engagements, and stakeholder programmes.
- Capture real-time content and deliver timely post-event content packages for media, marketing, and digital platforms.
- Support campaign teams with visual assets that enhance destination promotion activities.
Destination Branding and Visual Identity
- Contribute to building and maintaining a consistent and recognisable Gauteng destination visual profile.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with Visit Gauteng brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and destination positioning.
- Support the development of creative concepts that elevate Gauteng’s reputation as a world-class destination.
Strategic Partnerships and Content Leveraging
- Support the identification and cultivation of digital content partnerships with tourism stakeholders, influencers, content creators, media organisations, and destination partners.
- Assist in securing opportunities to leverage partner-generated content for broader destination visibility and campaign impact.
- Facilitate content-sharing initiatives that maximise exposure for Gauteng tourism experiences and events.
Stakeholder and Industry Engagement
- Collaborate with tourism stakeholders, municipalities, attractions, event organisers, and industry partners to source and develop destination content.
- Assist in developing content that highlights tourism products and experiences across Gauteng’s regions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/National Diploma or Degree or relevant qualification in Multimedia Production, Digital Media or Visual Communication.
- Proficient in photography and videography techniques, including lighting, audio/video editing, graphic design (multimedia content creation) for visually appealing narratives.
- Basic experience in photography, videography, video editing, multimedia content creation, and digital storytelling.
- Demonstrable knowledge of camera operations, lighting techniques, audio recording, and post-production processes.
- An interest in online marketing, digital media, and social media, and the ability to provide photography and photo editing for social media and/or websites
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays
- Have a special liking and enthusiasm to graphic design, social media, and digital marketing.
- knowledge of social media (preferably an avid user) and digital design and digital copywriting.
- Strong computer skills – including Mac applications and MS Office suite
- Strong understanding of social media content creation, content planning, digital marketing trends, and platform-specific content requirements.

The Gauteng Tourism Authority seeks to appoint a highly competent Manager: Governance, Compliance and Legal Services to manage and coordinate governance frameworks, compliance management, legal advisory services and contract administration across the organisation. The role supports the Company Secretary, strengthens corporate governance, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides legal guidance to the Board, Executive Management and business units.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following performance areas.
1. Corporate Governance and Governance Framework Management:
- Support the development, review and implementation of GTA governance frameworks, policies and procedures including Board Charters, Delegations of Authority and Committee Terms of Reference.
- Monitor governance compliance across the organisation and report deviations to the Company Secretary.
- Ensure quality assurance of Board and Committee submissions, resolutions and governance documentation.
- Track and coordinate the implementation of Board and Committee resolutions across the organisation.
- Facilitate governance awareness sessions and training initiatives.
- Conduct governance maturity assessments and recommend improvements aligned with corporate governance best practices.
2. Compliance Management and Regulatory Alignment:
- Develop and implement organisational compliance frameworks aligned with PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other applicable legislation.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and reviews across business units.
- Prepare compliance reports for Executive Management, Board Committees and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Monitor legislative developments and advise management on regulatory implications.
- Coordinate compliance awareness programmes and support internal investigations where required.
3. Legal Advisory Services and Litigation Support:
- Provide legal opinions and advisory services to Executive Management, the Board and business units.
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents including agreements, MOUs and contracts.
- Manage litigation matters in collaboration with external legal counsel.
- Conduct legal research and monitor developments in legislation and case law.
- Assess legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support organisational decision-making.
4. Contract Administration and Legal Document Management:
- Oversee drafting, vetting and negotiation of supplier contracts, service-level agreements and partnership agreements.
- Maintain and manage a centralised contract management system.
- Monitor contract deliverables, compliance and renewal timelines.
- Conduct legal risk assessments on contractual commitments.
- Ensure all contract templates remain legally compliant and aligned with organisational policies.
5. Board and Committee Governance Support:
- Assist the Company Secretary in preparing Board and Committee packs, agenda and governance documentation.
- Support minute-taking, document circulation and governance administration processes.
- Track implementation of Board resolutions and prepare status reports.
- Ensure secure storage and management of governance documentation.
- Support Board induction programmes and governance evaluation processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The Manager Governance, Compliance and Legal Services position calls for a highly skilled individual who has a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and/or any other related qualification. A postgraduate qualification in Corporate Governance, Compliance or Commercial Law will be an added advantage.
In terms of experience, the requirements are, a minimum five (5) years’ experience in governance, legal advisory or compliance management. Experience within the public sector environment and PFMA compliance is essential.

The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) seeks to appoint a highly competent Bids Development Manager to support the implementation of the Convention, Events and Business Bureau strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for Bids development and sales through bid researching, identifying, developing and securing prospective convention and business events for Gauteng. The role will focus on driving business development initiatives that generate and convert leads into secured high yield events, including meetings, conventions, incentives and exhibitions (MICE).
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
Amongst others, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following performance areas.
1. Bids Strategy Development and Management
- Develop, implement and manage Gauteng Bidding strategy.
- Identify, attract and prioritise high-value bid opportunities to ensure that the key high growth sector priorities of the province
- Develop and implement a qualification criteria/ framework for bid.
- Conduct feasibility and impact assessments for qualifying bid opportunities
- Strategy execution, Monitoring and execution.
- Stakeholder engagement , communivation, institutional linkages, and cordination Public and private sector Partnerships
- Identify and manage trade and business platforms
- Financial and Corporate Governance Management
- People Management
- Appropriate and Timeous reporting (including monthly, quarterly ,Board committee and specicial project reports)
- Performance Monitoring and Conversion including post-show reporting & ROI Analysis of project
2. Core Competencies
- Knowledge, expertise and experience in the MICE industry
- Knowledge and experience in the business events association market
- Knowledge of the Tourism industry (business, Trade and Leisure)
- Knowledge, expertise and experience of the business events bidding and hosting and decision-making processes.
- Knowledge and experience in working with venues, Professional conference organizers, inentive houses, federations, associations, Destination Management comapnies and exhibition management companies
- Exceptional communications, presentation and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the PFMA
- Knowledge of the national, provincial and local government
- Knowledge of government IGR systems and
- Knowledge of economic development strategies with a strong project management
- Good communication, Coordination and Business Management skills
- Computer literacy
- Strong liaison and report writing skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The Manager: Bids Development position calls for a highly skilled individual who has a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in one of the following or a closely related field Marketing, Tourism Management, Business Management, Events Management. A postgraduate qualification (Honours or equivalent) in Tourism, Marketing, Events or Management will be an advantage.
In terms of experience, the requirements are ten(10) years’ experience in the MICE, Tourism, events, convention bureau, destination marketing or related environment. A minimum of 5 years’ experience at management level, leading teams, projects or programmes.
