Executive Assistant – Healthcare Management
Introduction
The position of Executive Assistant, Healthcare Management is vacant. The Executive Assistant -Healthcare Management will report directly to the Chief Healthcare Officer and form part of the Healthcare Management division. The position is based at Head Office.
An annual total cost to company package will apply, R 503 635 based on the Scheme’s Remuneration Policy and dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Executive Assistant, Healthcare Management, will be required to provide support to the Chief Healthcare Officer through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Manage the Executive’s calendar to ensure that all meetings are scheduled via the Executive Assistant/ agreed SOP.
- Acts as a “gatekeeper” for the Executive’s schedule
- Booking attendance of events, conferences, and seminars, both domestic and international
- Screening of incoming telephone calls and handle queries in an appropriate manner, and engage with both internal and external customer queries
- Maintain and update the division’s Annual Plan
- Ensure that all documents are circulated and submitted as per the Year Planner e.g. Access the board portal on a regular basis to ensure compliance to action items and agenda inputs
- Prepare and circulate all divisional meeting documents e.g. agenda, action list, minutes, presentations etc
- Planning and tracking key business deliverables and reports through basic project management reporting
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) year qualification in Administration or Secretarial Studies, or equivalent NQF Level
- A diploma/degree in Healthcare Sciences or a related field will an added advantage
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Executive/ Personal Assistant role
- Experience within a Medical Scheme/ Healthcare Sciences environment would be advantageous
Skills
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with office administrative systems e.g. HR/ Procurement Systems
- Excellent written English and the ability to communicate at all levels

ICT Data and Information Architect
Introduction
The position of ICT Data and Information Architect (Azure) is vacant. The ICT Data and Information Architect (Azure) role will report directly to the Senior Manager: Data Warehouse Analytics and BI and forms part of the ICT Division. The position is permanent and will be based at GEMS Head Office.

- Design end to end leg at detailed level and advise on technical issues of Azure
- Maintain governance model on the database architecture through training, design reviews, code reviews and progress levels
- Migration on-premise database to various Azure data stores
- Analysis of product offerings
- Development of database architecture and roadmaps
- Analysis of existing data design and recommendations for improvements on performance, stability and inter-operability
- Develop robust Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes for disparate data sources
- Compilation of Statement Architecture Work with prioritised work packages

- End to end delivery of Scheme data analysis and architecture

Qualification Requirements:
- A Degree/ Diploma in BCom Informatics / BSc Computer Science / BSc Engineering Information Technology, or similar as well as
- Industry-specific qualifications (TOGAF 9.1)
- A minimum of 5 years’ functional experience in requirements analysis, design, data architecture, solution architecture, and/or enterprise architecture, of which at least 3 years must have been at managerial or lead level, including team leadership and coaching responsibilities.5+ years of experience working on solutions that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data;
- 3+ years of experience developing both multidimensional and tabular models with large and complex datasets;
- Advantageous qualifications ( DAMAYou have at least 3 of the below certifications:

Duties & Responsibilities
The Business Data Steward will be required to perform the following functions within the Research and Development Division under the supervision of the Senior Manager: Data Analytics through the implementation of the following:
- Partner with business data owners to drive adoption of data governance best practices and embed a culture of data centricity across day-to-day processes
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Scheme’s data in line with the Data Management and Analytics Strategy
- Identify, document and implement data requirements and specifications; collaborate with ICT on implementation
- Develop and implement procedures for effective data management, including data quality, metadata, reference and master data
- Establish and manage processes for data issues and queries management in line with data quality standards and guidelines
- Ensure data security and compliance with applicable policies, POPIA and regulations; manage data requests in line with data sharing SOPs
- Conduct regular data profiling, audits and lineage assessments to identify quality gaps; monitor Data Quality KPIs (completeness, uniqueness, timeliness, validity) and drive remediation with owners
- Develop monitoring reports and dashboards to track the implementation and effectiveness of data management recommendations
- Develop and maintain technical guidelines, SOPs and documentation for data governance, analytics and utilisation
- Consult with technical, operational and coding stakeholders to enhance data availability, quality, usage tools and methodologies
- Provide training, support and guidance to business data owners and relevant staff on data governance policies, procedures and best practice
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary teams including business data owners and ICT; facilitate operational SLAs with internal and

- Participate in data management forums and committees to drive continuous data governance efficacy

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification requirements are:

- At least 5 years’ experience in business analysis, data management or analytics in the financial services industry
