Bursar – Curro Academy Parkdene Combined

  • At least a B degree or equivalent (three years), preferably with a major in accounting plus five years’ relevant experience where such experience includes:
  • Experience in a financial role, or as a bursar.
  • Experience in accounting, cash flow management, debtors’ management and contract management (financial element).
  • Experience in administration and payroll management.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.
  • A clear criminal record.
  • Experience in Curro or corporate group of schools

The responsibilities are:

  • Day-to-day management of the finances of the school under the direction of the executive head and regional accountant.
  • Managing of budgets.
  • Monitoring of all income and expenditure relating to internal budgets.
  • Preparing of financial reports for the executive head.
  • Assist at school functions when required.
  • Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible

Afrikaans FAL Teacher – Curro Academy Parkdene Combined

  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Relevant experience in teaching Afrikaans FAL.
  • Current SACE registration.
  • CAPS curriculum experience.
  • A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

  • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
  • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
  • Create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Take responsibility for any and all school equipment and stock of the class.
  • Work closely with the teachers in the grades/phase to ensure the effective running of the grades/phase.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the grades/phase.
  • Assist with sport and other admin duties as and when the need arises.
  • Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

The successful candidate will start on 01 January 2025.

EGD Teacher (Grades 10 to 12) – Curro Academy Parkdene Combined

  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Relevant experience in teaching EGD.
  • Current SACE registration.
  • IEB experience.
  • A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

  • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
  • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
